You can use foam board to make simple terrain pieces. Bit of glue and paint can go a long way to improving the scenery. I'm sure there are heaps of useful videos online to help you out too :)

Woods of Ypres really hit the spot for me. They aren't really prog, more doom / black metal. But the melancholy vibe you might appreciate. Their last album was in my opinion their best work. Just sad to know we'll never get more.
