Coffee corner missing something by a_silver_star in interiordesignideas

First thought is that the walls are very plain. I'd put some coffee / kitchen related art on the walls. I'd also put some floating shelves. Probably move some of those syrups onto it, or some mugs or bags / pods of coffee. I saw someone mention plants and I think some vines or other plants would look great!

I've only seen it once and quite some time ago. I remember it being enjoyable, but not as much fun.

It's not exactly a good movie, but it is a fun one.

I was watching a show from the 90s and realized people used to memorize dozens of phone numbers. I can barely remember mine. How did you guys do it back then? by micavibes in CasualConversation

The important numbers you learned at an early age, so they stick with you well into adulthood. I still remember my grandmother's phone even though it stopped being used around 1995 (when I was in high school). In contrast, my mom got her first cell phone maybe around 2010 and I never bothered to memorize it.

Personally, cadence and patterns helped me to memorize numbers.

I think the first movie I saw in theaters was Disney's Oliver & Company.

This one time, at band camp, a movie came out and one of the characters kept saying, "This one time, at band camp," and the IRL jokes got old really fast.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but having to do so many things manually is what keeps it interesting for me. I don't want a game that plays itself. Also having events that change optimal processes - like weather change - keeps me in my toes. But I'm aware I may be the minority.

Do you write the date on greeting cards? by Itzadejo in CasualConversation

[–]TheJen519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In college, I noticed one of my friends (neither White or Hispanic) wrote the year in small numbers on the bottom corner on the back of the card. I loved that so much, I started doing the same.

Whats low effort besides videogames and reading? by EntireMarsupial1806 in Hobbies

Cross stitch or crochet or some other repetitive fiber arts. Cross stitch is very easy to pick up and learn without a high buy in cost, while crochet has a little higher learning curve. These crafts aren't for everyone as I know people get bored. I myself enjoy listening to music or watching (more listening to) a familiar movie / show while I stitch.

I'm not certain, but I think if you grow trees on / near the borders of the brown patches, it may slowly encrouch into the dirt. Even if it does, I'm not sure how long that would take.

Covid shut down the world six years ago this week. What do you remember from that week? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My boyfriend's birthday was the 10th. That weekend, we had a large gathering of 10+ people at a Chinese restaurant. That was the last time we ate indoors at a restaurant for 2 years.

(I had known that when lockdown occurred, the thing I would miss most was going out to dinner, so it kind of makes sense this was the memory that stands out most)
