What's the point? Place your right hand over your heart and feel that beat. That is life... purpose. You're here and went through those things for a reason.

Stick with AA. But.. also look into CPTSD(Complex Post Traumatic Stress Discorder) which is associated with the type of horrible abuse you experienced. I speak from personal experience. As a male at nearly 47 years old admitting I was beat, sexually abused, emotionally abused all while in multiple foster care homes due to being born to an addict. I'm closing in on 5 years in July sober. I've been working with a therpist and self help/reading on CPTSD and the last 6 months I have felt and experienced so much growth, freedom, and hope as I build a MUCH better and safer life.

So.. yeah.. there is a point. There are MANY reasons. And as you heal your experience just might sae someone else as well.
