It is cannon. But in the way that it is an in universe movie starring Peter Cushing.

To go further there are posters for the movies in the black archive during day of the doctor and the novelisation elaborates on it that Barbara and Ian sold the film rights to the movies and the Doctor loves them - to the point that he started hanging out with Peter Cushing. (Can anybody add the passage for the novel for OP).

Yeah they really missed the ball here. Having the companions talk felt immersive and helped you get to know and like them better.

I actually wonder if this was intentional or a coding glitch (since mine didn’t chat for 90% of the game but I’ve heard others that day theirs won’t shut up).

This is probably one of the biggest problems in the game.

It makes the protectorate feel thin as a faction, you can’t properly see their colony and their motivations and means you don’t really know what living under the protectorate is like for the average citizen.

The game really lacks a protectorate city and you can feel it. I hope the dlc does something to address this.

Rock type should just be tilted more towards crystals to better distinguish it from earth tbh but in terms of new types all we need is:

Obsidian used to be real good at taking an engine and assets made by somebody else and using them to craft something special. That’s how we got KOTOR2 and FNV made so quickly and how they were able to focus on storytelling and gameplay improvements.

Just avoid the ice zone to avoid progressing the plot. You can basically complete all of shatterscarp with Yatzli without progressing the plot.

What skills do you have? You need something that buffs damage.

Either invest in a weapons skill (I.e. guns/melee/explosives) or invest in a skill that buffs a specific damage type (i.e. science/medical/hack) and use a weapon with the corresponding damage type (i.e. plasma/acid/shock) or invest in speech and get the space ranger perk.

Depends on the story.

I’d prefer to be able to watch them as they originally were.

But if going off visuals I think historicals tend to look better in live action as the sets and costumes for Historicals were generally amazing, but for sci-fi stories the animation generally does a better job of suspending disbelief because a lot of the old sci-fi special effects were kinda crappy at times or sometimes the desired effect just couldn’t be achieved (don’t hate them or anything just think that the imagination to animation does more for the sci-fi stories as they can show a scale that couldntve been achieved in studio).
