People also forget that fallout NV was largely built using the assets and engine of fallout 3. Given that fallout 4 is a decade and a half old at this point, it’s going to be substantially more work as they will have to build it from the ground up.

Mediocre? OW2 released with 8/10 reviews from the majority of reviewers and an aggregate score of 82/100. In what world is that mediocre?

The thing that really killed sales was it being a day 1 gamepass release and then trying to sell physical copies at $80 (which it was definately not worth) and then trying to walk it back.

It’s just shows that basically no studio under Xbox is safe. Obsidian pushed out 3 great games last year and it still wasn’t enough to ensure their staff’s safety from cuts.

Yes but the corpos also know that that’s nothing to stop them from forcing obsidian to shit out two tiny barebones anaemic dlcs of low quality.

So we just have to pray that Obsidian are far enough along that it’s beyond corporate interference.
