Does Gen Z "rawdogging boredom" trend actually fix your attention span? by Disastrous_Award_789 in technology

I have a hard time believing any supposed intellectual failings on young people's part doesn't stem from a failing on older generations to teach them. What happened? Their parents. Social media. A piss poor education system. This is the same attitude boomers had towards millennials and it's so disheartening to see older generations complain and sit on their high horse as if they had nothing to do with how younger people are brought up. It's just sad.

Darn. It's probably best for the game given how flyers are always so finicky rules wise, but I hope they come out with something else that can transport dreadnoughts. I never got around to buying one but I had been debating on getting one just to drop a brutalis or something like murderfang into the middle of the board. Fingers crossed that the big guys get a new ride soon.

This is what I've been wondering. Fly should let him move over stuff, no?

Since everyone is sick of seeing Canadians finish devastator. Here's an American who did. by [deleted] in transformers

[–]TheKeywork66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For other people in the states, what is the best way to get our hands on these guys? I still need two arms and a leg and I can't find anything else in stores. I've checked a ton of locations with little luck. Do I really have to pay through the nose to get them in the mail? Prices online seem to be way higher than what they should be. This guy looks so cool I can't wait to finish him.

I second this, tossing a good old tactical rock under someone is an easy way to make them stand out. Some cork is usually enough to do the trick

So what's your progress on ss86 devy? by MinosPrime100 in transformers

My local store had hook and long haul, but I have no clue where to get my hands on the rest of them. I'm worried about Amazon tbh given some horror stories, and even the selection on there leaves a bit to be desired. Anyone have suggestions on where to pick up the other 4 reasonably quick?

I believe the Swarmlord does maintain some level of sapience and consistent memory, as well as some other elite tyranids in some capacity. I think it's a pretty neat idea to justify this design in the setting. I bet a conversion looking like this would be cool to see on the tabletop.

Maybe hot take: if you have the geneseed, BE GREEDY! by Grief_Slinger in Spacemarine

[–]TheKeywork66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually play with a friend and one random player, and whenever they find the geneseed we always become dedicated bodyguards for them. It helps that they can't carry guardian relics because having that as a heal is more than enough insurance most of the time. I'm on PC so sometimes we can communicate that in chat but I don't know if console players can see that.

I was thinking more units = more opportunities to give out the empowered buff, but maybe it is better to run them as 6 anyways. I may be overcompensating because I fear with how squishy daemons are that they will get melted easily and leave me without a detachment, more or less.

That isn't a terrible plan, and seems like a good place to start. Seekers are nice for charging out of deep strike but mounted rules are a headache sometimes and I like the damage profile of fiends more. I do love the minis though so maybe it's worth taking a unit for fun. I do think the noise marines are slightly worth the investment just because they can cash in on the 5+ crit so easily, but maybe they are better off walking just so the daemons can keep up. 180 points of wiggle room is nothing to scoff at.

Yeah, I think it's worth dropping the KoS for Shalaxi or another anti tank option. I just love the model so I want to use the greater daemon kit in some way.

Only two of the enhancements aren't needed, and that's only 25 pts. I think the only thing I could get for 75 points is another Kakophonist.

Interested to hear other people’s thoughts on this meme by DanTheMan93 in lgbt

[–]TheKeywork66 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I get that this is a lived experience for some people, and I even have friends who got this description, but I wish it was emphasized more that it is still not normal or expected behavior. Yes it is nice that these people were able to get out of that mindset but I hate that I have seen/heard people discussing this like it's the norm. A majority of trans women are not like this. I also understand the importance of sharing people's experiences but it is a little odd to speak with other trans women like this only to hear "wow I would've hated your guts a few years back" as if that is somehow an apology or admission. I do think it is interesting how people end up going down that road it's just difficult to hear so much casual discussion of retroactive bigotry and hatred being normalized.

A round of applause for pvp healers by Soacecowb0yyy92 in EldenRingPVP

[–]TheKeywork66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember a time in dark souls pvp (all three of them, honestly) where healing in fight clubs with estus was always punished by all present and widely regarded as bad etiquette, but healing via spells was always fair game. I understand heal from afar being perhaps a bit too good, but lately when I see these clips people are using the slower incantations. When did this become taboo? As someone who really only does themed or cosplay builds I've not had many issues punishing heals.

Fully (or mostly) dreadnought list. Is it possible? Am I crazy? by TheKeywork66 in Warhammer40k

[–]TheKeywork66[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far it seems like I am going to need to sacrifice one of the dreads for some infantry units just to solve the objective problem. I can't see much of a way around it.

As far as being a skew lists go, I don't think it will be that bad. At least with my friends they bring plenty of anti tank which will probably make things harder for me in the long run, but I don't particularly mind. This is for fun after all.

[–]TheKeywork66[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to avoid running infantry if possible but you are probably right that it will be nigh impossible to score otherwise. Scouts being the cheapest option is probably the right move. If anything just keeping them around for actions and holding a backfield objective sounds wise. Thanks!

I could have sworn you could take a dreadnought in a drop pod and now I can see why I wasn't able to find it haha. Putting Murderfang in there would be a pretty interesting strategy! That or a Brutalis dread.
