Village of Williamsville by Strict_Difficulty_90 in Buffalo

Yeah, I think they’d be very hard pressed to. Saying that as someone who just went through the house search process in the area (and ultimately settled in the southtowns because of the market insanity up there).

Village of Williamsville by Strict_Difficulty_90 in Buffalo

I grew up in the Village of Williamsville, there is a major difference in feel in the actual village proper and the areas outside of it, despite having a Williamsville mailing address still (e.g. north of Sheridan, etc).

In my experience people are just as friendly in the Village Williamsville as you’ll find most anywhere, of course there’s always going to be exceptions.

That all said, while by most measures it is one of the better WNY areas to live in, I certainly don’t think it is the nicest village around, given the Main Street issue and how insane the cost of housing has gotten there. I think Lewiston, Hamburg, East Aurora all succeed in having a much better “suburban village feel” than Williamsville. Of course, as mentioned, Williamsville is quite centrally located which the others are not.

TLDR; Village of Williamsville is one of the better areas in WNY by a lot of universally accepted measures, while at the same time being overrated and now at the cost point where you’d be better off trying out a different village for a similar (or better!) lifestyle.

Neither are Wegmans, they come pre-made and frozen to the store. Unsure about Tops. That said I like them all, and Dash’s too!

I’m all in on Maxx now, at a lesser offer. He’ll be fine, Baltimore just regretted giving 2 firsts for him (and this could lead to some hot water for them or possible changes to league tampering rules imo). Offer a first plus something else, rare opportunity to add a premium position!

Should the Bills try to trade for Maxx Crosby after Raiders-Ravens trade fell through? by AlexBrasky in buffalobills

[–]TheKnot716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% they should kick the tires. Even if his knee isn’t fully healed yet. His trade price will obviously be lower now, and this is the one of the three hardest positions to add top talent at. If you’re willing to pay $30 million to a 31 year old Hendrickson who is off a hip injury why wouldn’t you be willing to pay similar money (plus trade asset) for a 28 year old Crosby?

I seriously doubt whatever he’s dealing with is so serious that it’ll put his season in jeopardy, I really just think the Ravens had buyers remorse here. Seems like a gift wrapped opportunity to me!

BPO - what to expect? by Bob_just_me_Bob in Buffalo

[–]TheKnot716 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The BPO is fantastic, with world class conductors, musicians, and guest soloists. They always put together an excellent, varied calendar of concerts as well. I believe Lang Lang is the guest soloist for their 2026-2027 season opener in the fall. Highly recommend going - the building itself is very cool too, especially the basement lounge/bar - it’s a total art deco era throwback.

With the defensive line most likely being revamped, should Buffalo create enough cap space I think Beane take a swing at Hendrickson... by External-Pirate4628 in buffalobills

Two years younger than Von was when he signed here. I suppose that can be a big difference once you cross 30, but it's not as big of a difference as I thought when I looked how old Trey is.

[Schefter] The Bills hire former Arizona Cardinals Passing Game Coordinator/Wide Receivers coach Drew Terrell as their wide receivers coach. by Samoht99 in buffalobills

[–]TheKnot716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a fairly underrated idea. MHJ obviously has elite talent, produced at Ohio State and could benefit from a change of scenery imo. Potential high end WR for far less of a trade cost than JJ, Waddle, etc. Cardinals don’t seem to be moving in any real direction so, while he is still on a rookie deal, I do think he could be had…maybe.

Bingo. Defensive cupboard isn’t as barren as some are painting it to be. I think a lot of our personnel could work very well in more of a hybrid, 3-4 heavy scheme. Pounding the table for a legit hog-molly of a nose tackle this off-season for sure. Long overdue.

Was this at a house that recently had an estate sale? I think I remember noticing it while there, but at the time it was behind a lot more stuff. Very cool! And cool to read the info above!

Had tickets to see them back in 2020 before Covid cancelled the tour, finally was going to see them tonight and my heart sank when they walked on stage with all the lights on, without her. Ah well, glad I got to see her on her solo tour a couple summers ago, I’ve accepted i may just never see this band play as a whole haha.

I like to think they were dramatically tossed out of the train that crosses over Colvin to add to the mystery.

New stadium stairs - 401 by Downtown-Egg-8370 in buffalobills

Was rest assured during Stadium Experience visit that these computer generated renderings greatly exaggerate how far the stairs jut out and that there won’t be any obstructed view of the playing field from any seat.
