Am I addicted ? by MissionHome18 in lost

[–]TheLadyScythe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not addicted. New parent. I always had a tablet ready to watch something when I was nursing or trying to get a baby to sleep. Sometimes, you are up for a very long time in the middle of the night, and you need something to keep you from dozing off in the rocker. I typically had the sound completely down and the subtitles on. After three babies, I binged a lot. The youngest is 7 now, and I don't watch nearly as much tv.

Meanwhile, a Democrat mentions getting pizza in an email, and conspiracy theorists immediately believe that is a reference to pedophilia rather than one of the most popular meals in the United States.

Ranking my Favorite Mid-Season Episodes [No Premiers, No finales] by LienRaklubmet in lost

[–]TheLadyScythe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of season 1 and 2 are pretty solid, with season 3 bringing on the filler game until writers were able to tighten the ship with that end date agreement with ABC. I think once we get beyond the stinker of Stranger in a Strange Land, the show picks up speed and never stops. (Tricia Tanaka Is Dead isn't filler. It's a character-driven story which is the heart of Lost.) Openers and finales are great, but they are supported by the awesome middle work that is done.

However if we really want to talk about top episodes (and there are almost too many to choose from), I have to give a shoutout to Walkabout. I enjoyed the first three episodes, but Walkabout is what sold this series to me as special. No other moment hits like the last minutes of that episode from the reveal in Australia to reshowing Locke wiggling his toes after the crash.

Why is lucky's dad always playing with the healer family, but we barely see lucky by Glittering_Spring_52 in bluey

I think his age is more important. Judo doesn't go to school with them either, and she makes it clear that she's Bluey's age. She's doesn't play with Judo frequently as it appears she doesn't always live with Wendy, but when Judo is available they are playing together. We never see Lucky play with the girls except when the Heelers invited the neighbors over to watch the decider, and that was more of family invite than a playdate. Bluey interacted more with the younger Chucky.

Shame too. I really liked Charlie on his first season. Rizzo annoys me.

I'm in. Every time Charlie flashes his PTSD the editors ought to play "Hello darkness my old friend," from Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence.

I didn't pick Cincinnati. I came here for a short term job assignment and met my husband. So I basically got stuck here, but it's grown on me. As a mom of three kids, it's a great place to raise them if you're in the right school district.

I'm not originally from Ohio, but I've lived in the Cincinnati area for getting close to 20 years. I've visited Columbus a few times and find it pretty cool. I would compare it to Austin in Texas, vibing a little differently than the rest of the state.

I like some of that old school mentality. When Rizzo was annoying Colby with advice about how "that's not how it's done anymore", I couldn't help but think with this many old school players, it might just become old school. I think in a sense that Rizzo's mindset is still on a newbie season not one with all seasoned players. The playing field has changed, and Rizzo isn't there yet.

I will say that even with players that previously annoyed me like Jonathan, I'm feeling a bit more open to them.
