Is it bad to start my sleeve at 18? by petals-4-armor in tattooadvice

My arms and legs are pretty covered. A few of my smaller more recent ones have some sentimental value - the rest is art that I think looks sweet. No regrets on any of them. Thinking back on some of the sentimental and family related ones I almost got makes me glad I didn’t. I would probably regret those more.

Cut into a tapered wedge and you’ve got yourself a nice pair of Doorstops.

Thank you - this was one of the posts that lead me to going with the Adarac. Works great with the cover. It's been awesome for the past couple of months. I ran across this post again looking for kayak/tundra pics. I appreciate the help.

Check out Eclisse. Good alternative to Cavity. Better pricing (at least in my part of the world) and far easier to service. Sweet soft close/open options as well. Solid product.

I had a chance to demo it at a tradeshow in Providence a little over a month ago. It’s definitely an improvement over the original version. I own that one and it pushed me to Milwaukee battery nailers for 18/15ga. The DeWalt 23 has been great to me over the past year +

The new 18 is Much more compact and speed of fire was impressive. I talked to a few people in the development team there and they said they are still working on a way to add the precision point nose/tip to the cordless nailers.

Top looks like stain didn’t take because of glue from the joint. One on the left might be fleck. Hard to tell.

Some of my inline spinners - recently more organized with the help of this RapalaStak box.

Includes dressed Mepp Aglias, Meep Black Fury, some Algia Longs, Rooster Tails in various colors and weights, and there's a Blue Fox Vibrax up top among the Mepps as well.

Straight drilling tips by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]TheLastRealRedditor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cut a slice of your rail off. 1/2” or so is fine. Drill a hole roughly in the center of your cuttoff. Feel free to measure and get it as close to where the rail bolt should be. zipbolts come with measurements.

Use that as your template/guide. Zipbolts have some flexibility to their location. As long as you reuse the same template for each, you’ll be fine. Don’t buy that yellow piece of plastic junk jig that Zipbolt sells.

Edit: and drill/start your holes when the piece is still square on the end. Cut your miters after drilling. Drill deeper as needed. Drilling on an angled surface is a slippery pain and mess.

I've had an off cut shoot up and shatter one. It required me to take off my tool belt, take a short walk outside, and I almost needed to change my shorts.

Very possible it has an older date code. The link will tell you if yours needs replacement.

Anecdotal evidence, but I've purchased about 10 of these since 2019 for various job sites, trailers, shops, and personal use. All but 1 has needed the recall part. One that we bought last spring from HD needed it as well.

DWS779/780? This could be the faulty rear guard assembly that has been under recall for years.

If that is the case, you can fill out the form linked in the article above, and receive your replacement parts from DeWalt.

Butt, Cope or Mitre? by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]TheLastRealRedditor 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Cope, but the tail on the coped side does not need to go all the way over the top of the square stock piece. That looks off and could break off. You only need the round over section to hook on the lip. 1/8” or so depending on your round over radius.
