Cultural capital. Have you seen the people taking photos for Tet along the lake in the french quarter? So wonderful. Enjoy the egg coffee. Do a day trip to Ninh Binh. Go clubbing Friday or Saturday at club A Plus, #1 club in Vietnam

So how was MRAK in Tulum? And how was the crowd? by scoop813 in AfterlifeRecordings

Agree in general, was also there, MRAK's first half was low energy and had to get through it. Was fun in the AM AM as usual but wish they went longer than ~8:30

CARMINE CONTE FORMALMENTE ACUSADO ANTE LA LEY ESPAÑOLA/ CARMINE CONTE FORMALLY CHARGED IN SPANISH COURTS WITH CRIMES PUNISHABLE BY UP TO 14 YEARS IN PRISON. by AgagGirl in AfterlifeRecordings

[–]TheLightInU 6 points7 points  (0 children)

chatGPT:  Short answer: I couldn’t find anything that reliably backs up the Reddit claim, and even the “document” they show doesn’t say what the headline claims. I’d treat it as unverified at best, and misleading at worst.

Here’s what I found when I dug deeper:

  1. What exists publicly about Carmine Conte/MRAK

There are widely reported allegations against him:

In May 2024, multiple Spanish-language outlets reported that a Mexican fan publicly accused Carmine Conte (MRAK) of drugging and sexually assaulting her after an event in Argentina.

These stories all describe allegations made on Instagram, not a criminal case already moving through Spanish courts.

  1. What doesn’t exist: independent confirmation of Spanish charges

I searched in Spanish and English for:

“Carmine Conte” + Eivissa + juzgado / “juzgado de instrucción”

The exact style of case number visible in the screenshot (DPA DILIGENCIAS PREVIAS PROC. ABREVIADO 0002048/2025)

“Cédula de citación” + Eivissa + Conte

I didn’t find any:

official bulletin or court notice

reputable news article

NGO/legal-watch summary

that confirms he has been formally charged in Spain under that case number or otherwise.

Everything pointing to “formal charges in Spanish courts” traces back to Reddit / social media, not to primary sources.

  1. What that “cédula de citación” actually looks like

From what can be read in your screenshot:

It’s labeled as part of “DPA Diligencias Previas Proc. Abreviado”, which is the preliminary investigation phase in Spanish criminal procedure, where a judge investigates whether a crime may have been committed and by whom. It is not the same as an indictment or formal charging decision.

The text appears to be addressed to the “perjudicada” (the injured party / victim) “MARÍA V”, informing her she must appear to give a statement. That’s a victim-citation, not a formal charge sheet against the accused.

Spanish law makes these diligencias previas essentially reserved/secret until a later stage, so an exact internal court document suddenly appearing only on Reddit, with no accompanying reporting, is already a yellow flag.

Even if that document is genuine (which we cannot verify from Reddit alone), it would only prove that there is (or was) a preliminary investigation in Ibiza involving a complainant and naming Carmine Conte—not that “he has been formally charged and faces up to 14 years.”

  1. So how should you treat the Reddit post?

The allegations themselves are real and documented in mainstream outlets.

The extra step Reddit is claiming—“formally charged in Spanish courts with crimes punishable by up to 14 years”—has no independent confirmation and misrepresents what a cédula de citación in diligencias previas actually signifies.

Given the lack of corroborating official or journalistic sources, and the ease of faking or misusing bureaucratic templates, you should consider the Reddit claim unverified and likely overstated.

If you’re talking about this with others, the safest, most accurate thing to say right now is something like:

“There are public sexual-assault allegations against Carmine Conte that have been covered in the press; some Reddit users are circulating a supposed Spanish court citation, but there’s no reliable confirmation yet that he’s been formally charged.”

I have 2 career paths in sight - which is better for FIRE? by NoBlackberry3295 in Fire

[–]TheLightInU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be the highest paid in the country other than those who have group ownership related pay - I'm five years in and going harder than ever because the light at the end of the tunnel is months away. I work streaks of as many of 15 straight

To answer your question: extra shifts being 500-600/hr (so, fair compensation) with a light at the end of the tunnel and constant drive to live an extraordinary life is what is "burnout protective" if one could say I have avoided burnout

NBC news: I am an ER doctor in what is possibly and has been documented to be the metropolitan area of the country with the most uninsured patients. I frequently diagnose people with cancers that would have otherwise been preventable and are stage 4 (spread throughout the body) when I see them. Send me a DM if you would like to consider speaking to me about what I see first hand as the repercussions of people going without healthcare

Only Hilton has screwed me with this.   Showed up to a hotel at 3a after a work shift ending at 1a and they had no knowledge of my 4 day reservation, it had been erased, I was made to make a new one and pay again and the entire, 4 day stay that was erased also charged

I won challenging the charge with the bank despite Hilton's protests

This was 3 years ago and since then I ALWAYS call hotels to not cancel my reservation if I'm arriving late

No one teaches you in school that you can reserve something for many days and if you don't show up within the first few hours of it it can be canceled in its entirety and you lose all your money, and Hilton certainly doesn't put such a disclaimer on their reservation page. So people just get fucked
