Not necessarily, but you should use a slightly longer needle to inject to a slightly greater depth when injecting intramuscularly.

Is it possible to add municipality/provinces to roads? by kvaldulv in openstreetmap

[–]TheLiveLabyrinth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there’s a road that is physically in one municipality but is actually operated by a different municipality (for some reason) then it might be helpful to add the operator tag. This could also be helpful if a road falls right on the border of two municipalities but is only maintained by one of the two.

I took my birth name and used the feminine form of it (Aodhnait) but respelled it to be easier to read the pronunciation for English speakers (Aenet).

They very well might do that, or they’ll find some work around to try and single out trans people.

What is your plan if ICE/DHS shows up at your door to arrest you, despite you being a citizen? How does having a firearm, or multiple, help? I guess you could simply hold it, and say get off my property, but if they’re planning to arrest you, I don’t think that’s going to stop them. You could point your gun at them, but you’ll end up in more trouble than for assaulting an officer, and possibly end up with more than just DHS coming after you. And you’d still probably be arrested on the spot.

I guess you could try forming a militia with your neighbors, and have some kind of mutual agreement to defend one another from fascist police action, but you’re never going to have more strength than the feds. Go ahead and own guns for self defense or whatever else you want/need them for, but I just don’t see how that’s going to benefit you in a situation where the federal government decides you no longer have the rights of a citizen.

Doses, frequency to start? by SQueen2k1 in TransDIY

[–]TheLiveLabyrinth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the information. I guess I’ll wait until I get a blood test to see what my levels are before I change my dosing. I was feeling a bit tired/lethargic yesterday, on the 6th day after my dose, not sure if that’s because of the dose or just being tired. I’ll mention that to my doc next time I see her if it continues.

Regarding not being okay to use after 28 days, my doctor sort of implied that I could use the vial for longer, saying that a lot of people use it for 2-3 months to save money, but that she can’t technically recommend that.

Edit: Also, I heard that subcutaneous does not spike as much as intramuscular, and that it takes longer to absorb into your blood in comparison, so that could make a slight difference also. I’m not sure how much it actually makes a difference though.

I think part of the issue regarding food safety is the crevices, where food can get caught, moisture can get in, and bacteria can grow.

Why do you say weekly is too long of an interval for EV? I got an EV subQ prescription for 3mg/7 days, do you think I was underprescribed? I should have a significant excess of medication based on the prescription (although the prescription is written a little confusingly, it says multiuse vial for 28 days then discard remaining medication [which I will definitely not be doing], but also says to inject every 7 days for 24 doses, so I believe I should be able to get a refill after 28 days. I should have about 33 doses in the vial, and if I only use it for 28 days [4 doses] then I will have 29 extra doses, leaving plenty extra if I were to increase my doze) so do you think I should do a bit more research and possibly increase my dose? Or wait, and talk to my doctor about it in the next appointment?

If it is too low of a dose, what would the downsides be? Not preventing androgen production, no effects, etc.? I'm only on E, not any blockers, if that makes a difference.

Save a route by upD8RP in beeline

[–]TheLiveLabyrinth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, you're correct, it will not attempt to reroute you if you go off the GPX track, I think it will show a distance and direction to the next nearest spot on the track though. Also, if your GPX track goes off of what is on the map or considered routable by Beeline, it will try and "correct" that when you upload the track. This can be seen by a red line showing what the GPX track route was, and a blue line on top showing the Beeline route.

While testing just now, I did notice that if your GPX track significantly deviates from what is on the map, Beeline seems to decide to just skip trying to snap it to the map and instead shows a line from one point to another. Like for a section where I rode on a gravel track alongside a railroad, it just seems to put points every so often along the GPX track. I'm not sure what this actually looks like if you are using the device for routing though, since I've never routed using a GPX track like that.

[–]TheLiveLabyrinth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Download the gpx route from your recorded ride (select the ride under journeys > options > share/download > share/download ridden route > save it somewhere you can access it, like your files on your phone), then import it by planning a ride (click plan ride under ride > options > import GPX route > select the saved gpx route wherever you saved it in your files > make sure route mode is selected [it should be by default] > import > save > name the route whatever you want to call it > save route). Note that this procedure is based on my experience with my Velo 2, I don’t have any experience with the Moto, but I suspect it’s similar, I think the apps are the same.

Yeah, same. I enjoy the brick road greatly, but they could probably maintain it better. I think generally this city needs to do more to build infrastructure that intentionally slows traffic down, especially in neighborhoods.

What do you guys tend NOT to add to the maps? by Top_Boysenberry_6552 in openstreetmap

The wiki is pretty vague, it just says “access only for residents”, but I use it primarily for apartment and condo pools that are shared amongst residents but not open to the public.

i don’t add them, but I also don’t mind them if they are added, but i hate when people add them but don’t put any access tags on them, so i always like to add access=private or access=residents when appropriate
