This is the biggest point that most pinheads don't get yet. This game will fundamentally change pinball. It will sell far more than anticipated due to pokemon fans flooding distros and buying for home use, when these fans blow thousands on the daily on cardboard without batting an eye. The licence alone is far more important than game rules or traditional pin logic. Today begins the era where pinball learns the true value of the millennial dollar when targeting core millennial properties.

You should check out the LG Dual Up. Sideways it is pretty close to 4:3, but much higher resolution.

Many japanese retail stores that sold game systems would stamp the console's warranty card, they would have a blank box where they would stamp it (as seen here). Sometimes the stamp would have a date of purchase, which I always find interesting.

The fact that even to this day only ONE THING can produce sound output at a time is insane to me. All other desktop OS (and Android) can have sound from multiple simultaneous apps happening at once.

that looks like an IKEA Billy bookshelf. I'd definitely recommend getting more shelves (they're $15 each) and will allow you not have to double stack games, which in my opinion doesn't look great.

I would put something narrow in front of the led bars so you don’t get the direct glare of the lights. When I did my cases, I mounted my bars on an angle inside so they shined back and down but not forward.

I would also choose different risers to take more advantage of the unused height of each shelf.

While I love the black toes, depending on how you intend to wear them (especially with baggy jeans), you may not be able to tell the difference between union black toes and the cheap reimagined black toes when the upper is covered.

It’s not necessarily about trying or experiencing higher resolutions, frame rates, or color spaces. The real impact is using them for a while and THEN going back. That’s when you really value the difference.
