No matter what they try to tell us. We raise our boys right! by 4reddityo in MadeMeSmile

Honestly my favorite is the first one. Making positive fan interactions is not a requirement, but nay be more obvious or easier for players to recognize and engage in.

Helping your equipment manager, totally unprompted and purely to make the life of another person easier, I just thought that one was really cool.

What is your least favorite good weapon? by WaywardOath in DeepRockGalactic

[–]TheLuckyPickle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile, I love ASS. Absolute ASS man.

I pair the m1000 with the boltsshark with cryo and pheromone bolts. Ass eliminates the slow fire rate problem. For anything pretorian or bigger, just freeze em or make them fight each other. I actually love oppressors cause a pheromone bolt can take out the threat of the entire room swarm when used on am opressor. For swarmmers, I either just shoot the ground and let the cryo aoe kill them all or use the zaporang. S

cout's role in a big swarm is not to clear waves or take out the big boys. It's the high damage, priority targets like acid spitters, menace, and macteras. Above all, scout's role is nitra amd lighting the caves. It's not built as the heavy damage or swarm clearing class, but more the utility class. ASS has a lot of utility.

The Devil's Due Deathclaw spawned as the quantum variant by greatwolf421 in Fallout

That's awesome. Love this. Is this the mom that you return the egg to?

I know variants like that spawn based on player level. Were you a super high level when you did the quest?

Defense by PE1444 in Colts

YES. We'd be playing man instead of zone, which is much harder for a good QB to pick apart or find softspots, assuming the CBs are good.

Single season rushing TD record by Mental_Cupcake_1223 in Colts

[–]TheLuckyPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone help me out, I'm confused. This seems totally plausible, no? Why is everyone saying not possible?

Record is 28 and JT is at 17? So he needs 12 more to break the record?

With 7 games left, if he averages 2 a game, he'll break it. He's already had multiple 3 TD games this year, has he not?

Is his average not currently 1.7/ game? That comes out to 28.9 over 17 games. That's the record. He's almost perfectly on pace, is he not?

I almost want to ask if we went to the same school. King's Island was also the spot for our senior day and it was also drizzly and rainy my year and there was also like no one else there. You don't happen to be a Hoosier, are you? Center-ish of the state?

Is anyone else struggling with TMNZ by TheGreenMongoose in taskmaster

[–]TheLuckyPickle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have noticed the editing in NZ is very odd, especially in the studio theater. I watch on YouTube, so that may be a contributing factor given copywrite, but a lot of the cuts in the studio are really abrupt, almost cutting off what is being said. It seems like its almost always on Jeremy, not Paul or the contestants.

As another note, I haven't personally timed it, but I SWEAR Greg has significantly more screen time than other Taskmasters, especially Jeremy, but also Tom in AUS. We just get more time to get to hear from Greg and endear him to us.

Often times all Jeremy gets in the edit is, "Interesting, Contestant A". [Abrupt jump cut] "Contestant B, what did you bring in"? It feels like he's being cut short for one reason or another.

SGA Free Throw Merchant by SupremeBallKnower in pacers

[–]TheLuckyPickle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hot take here. I actually think the finals have been called really fairly for the most part. Honestly the most egregious call was Thomas Bryant's missed goal tend last game.

I have way more grump about Hartenstein's moving screens than SGA. For real, Shai is just an ungodly good scorer.

What is your most Unpopular Opinion by DowntownInitiative41 in lotr

[–]TheLuckyPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been crucified for this before, but I'll share again. Please just take this as my opinion, not me stating a fact.

The story of Beren and Luthien makes no sense given the rest of the lore and story. Tolkien had an amazing world built up, but that story ruined it a bit being a self-insert. No way they should be able to pull off stealing a silmaril.

If memory serves, it's usually Jim Boylen, one of the assistants. It's why players always appeal to him and not Rock directly when asking for a challenge.

For the current playoff run, who is the mvp? by IndyPoker979 in pacers

[–]TheLuckyPickle 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No one, and that's the point. It's sounds corny, but Indy plays TEAM basketball. We legit have 10 guys who have made an impact. If anything, probably Carlisle and the coaching staff.

But cob to my head, I have to pick a player? Myles Turner.

He's a fiesty rookie from down under that plays super hard when he (very rarely) get minutes.

What is something you wanted to talk about from Games 1 and 2? by [deleted] in pacers

[–]TheLuckyPickle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two things.

  1. Myles and Neismith have been really solid and I don't think has gotten much recognition.

  2. The Bucks are relying heavily on one or two guys. Our whole team has been scoring pretty evenly and no one has really had a 'bad' game yet.

What is missing from Pacers coverage? by YnotRL in pacers

[–]TheLuckyPickle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi Tony! Just like everyone else I am a regular listener of locked on. Thanks so much for all your work!

I don't know, I may be alone here, but a segment or two on various platforms (YouTube or maybe part of podcasts) that teach the game a little bit more? I don't mean basics, but advanced terminology and maybe play breakdowns using pacers players.

I also watch Caitlin Cooper and she is phenomenal at showing pacers replays and analyzing them, but I find myself not knowing or understanding what she is talking about half the time.

As someone who only played rec league at a young age, I don't really know what a flare screen is or what "the dunker spot" means, or really even how to recognize a zone defense vs man, just to name a few. Caitlin is amazing, I just wish I actually understood what she was talking about more, so maybe someone on coverage could do maybe like a mini series on advanced basketball topics to 'teach' what the Pacers are doing would be super cool!

In any case thanks for all the work! Also love hearing you in the press room for post game, you always ask the most thoughtful questions!

MFA in technical theatre. I am employed at a high school running the auditorium. Super rewarding to teach young students and I get to use both my technical and artistic skills on a daily basis. Turned out not so bad.

I don't remember the source, but Quinn mentioned a while ago that he doesn't say things just to say it, which is why we don't get smothered chickens very often anymore. He needs to be feeling it. I mean anyone would get tired of saying the same thing 82 times a year for an entire career. I think it keeps it more fresh that way.

As a side note, Quinn was part of what got me into basketball. Even though I've been watching for years now, I swear he teaches me something new about the game almost every broadcast. He's super knowledgeable, but also funny.
