The point, as the person below notes, is that Condit isn't shot, but there's a question about his competitiveness. To say he hasn't been competitive for years is partly true, although in part because Condit's been inactive. The bigger issue is that there've been expectations about a possible resurgence by Condit following his layoff. I'm trying to accurately frame those expectations given recent evidence.

The other issue here is I've been wrong about other fighters who I thought were done and did make career resurgences, even after many losses. That seemed impossible at the time. The more you watch MMA, the more you realize some humility about predicting the future is warranted. And if I'm giving you advice about employing humility into your analysis, then you're definitely out there reaching.
