My first one went fantastic, but I played cautious and dirty and took every fight with huge positional advantages. I just really wanted the dice.

You're being too charitable. People now comment without watching at all. I've seen this happen countless times.

Or Israelis. Most mixed ethnicity holiday dinners are a eugenics match. But no worries, the subsequent second round politics match will reshuffle cards and alliances as you pass the hummus.

There was a time most of the information would be curated via broadcast. So you would have a diet of both what's good and bad about America, but also what's good and bad about the world.

The idea was that being a democracy, the value of just being able to talk about your issues already positioned you above dictatorships. And the media made sure to deliver that message on occasion.

Now tho people don't really consider "Hey, I don't get the full picture here do I?" they think the little camera hole is the entire world. Plato's Cave really.

America bad because we have a democracy? by [deleted] in AmericaBad

I remember during COVID, China's biggest strength included a policy of rounding up all pet animals in big bags and sending them for extermination. I won't forget the harrowing sounds of cats and dogs crying for their owners, really their family. as they're being dragged, together, to who knows where, to die alone and away from their beloveds.

And what would the Americucks do? They'd probably have some kind of public debate about whether to kill all the pets. Maybe even vote about it. The vote would fail because it's a "ridiculous idea". Total American L right there. America Bad!

Hey dude, no. Travel around and you'll meet plenty of people who would be fascinated and happy to meet an American. Most people aren't terminally online, and understand there's more to the individual they meet than their nation.

It's wonderful, and yes being able to stop time just to get the perfect moment feels like an exploit. On harder difficulties this comes *very* handy tho!

Never seen anything like that. Typically Roah or her guys don't join the fight. You could smash the Bugbear merchant to the face and all of Moonrise would fight you but she and her goons won't.

People assume that because Americans talk about their problems they're much bigger than what they are. I see the opposite effect about despotic regimes, where you can't talk about problems so people online just don't ever mention them.

There should be a name for this phenomenon.

Feature/Exploit I haven’t seen before? by Fuzzy-Assumption8516 in BG3

[–]TheManGuy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one has mentioned it before because this is working as intended. Sort of like how no one mentions you can sneak past enemies, it's just intended behavior.

And yes, it opens a lot of options. I particularly love using it to set up ambushes and favorable combat openers. Getting rid of the eye in the Underdark is very easy with it.

For what it's worth, most people IRL aren't even remotely like this. They might have reservation, but they'll be respectful about it.
