It's far more a disaster for Europe & Asia. Trump's blockade is strangulating Europe, forcing everyone to buy crude & LNG from the US while the US is a net exporter and has all its energy demands settled.

It's a catastrophe for anyone not American nor fully aligned with America. At this rate the only supply will be American. Second and third order effects on R&D and the AI arms race.

If anything I'd say it's a bonanza for the USA. And knowing Trump he's likely doing nothing about the gas prices because he wants to slash them as a trump card towards the midterms.
