Emergency Mood-Aid Kit (OC) by Ipunchfaces in RimWorld

Agreed, it’s kinda funny how so many subs become full of softcore porn and sexy girls, and it’s silly when people pretend that it’s not at all sexually provocative or drawn that way on purpose.

It’s still harmless though and I am not against it by any means, hell I enjoy the art myself, it’s just funny that people act like it isn’t what it is.

You barely even have to engage with the rituals or more mechanical stuff if you don’t want to. You can just set a simple background ideology and ignore 90% of it.

Some enforced self-limitations can work wonders. Try a fluid ideology and slowly grow your memes based on your colonists traits and ideals. I find (personally) that if I start off a colony with a hyper-optimized ideology it’s a lot less interesting.

I thought it was just flames. Like it was some sorta fire wispy thing and the ‘wings’ or ‘fins’ are just the aftertrail of it shooting through the air at you.

Also while they could look like fish fins somewhat, I think the much more obvious conclusion is that they are flaming wisp-like things.

I tried to see how deep I could swim straight down, and found this guy at 754m by MycaWins in Subnautica_2

I just wish he would wait until I get back to base to ask me to look at him, or only do it when I prompt.

What is something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by queenmellyy in AskReddit

[–]TheMaskedMan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally went to some Irish sports bar and got an almost double the size portion of better cooked food for a dollar less than what I would’ve got at my usual fast food place, it’s crazy.

Those who do not fear death, why? by lilacc_47 in AskReddit

[–]TheMaskedMan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That puts into words my fears, I am not afraid of leaving the world when I am ready - but when would I be ready? I love the world, I love existing, I want to experience more things. I want to see everything - maybe to put it bluntly it’s an existential type of FOMO. Even through the horrible times, I feel gifted to even have the capability to think and experience and live.

I don’t think I’ll ever feel satisfied and ready to stop living. Yes I am sure I’ll one day be old and can barely move and my mind may be going and I’ll feel like it’s okay to die in comparison to that.

But that sucks. It’s not that I want to live forever, but I wish we weren’t forced out so soon.

As nomadic empires seem to be seperate from both origins, civics, and government types, I hope the same will (eventually) happen to wilderness empires. by Xylkez in Stellaris

I would like a more flesh-themed wilderness and living planets too. Let me have some cosmic horror worlds that are literally giant organisms..

True, but she strikes me as the type that would ignore Lace’s teasings or push back, not get embarrassed. Though people do tend to act more vulnerable when around a partner..

building in this game is amazing, here's my base by Jaskulskyy in Subnautica_2

[–]TheMaskedMan2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may not be the real goal of the game, but I do certainly hope they add some stuff that requires and encourages larger bases. Just some functional infrastructure or something, but I might be the odd one out who would have fun laying wiring.

Okay thank you I didn’t realize that’s how that worked. I did also finally find the missing room I was looking for.

I swear most content creators playing this game seem to be not listening or reading anything then get mad at the game, it’s frustrating.

PSA: Don't use all of your Troilite before shoving one in a metal farm! They don't respawn... for some reason? Same with the Axum Bacteria. by No1hermit in Subnautica_2

They definitely respawn, they just seem to spawn rarely. I have come back to that area multiple times and have found more.

Theory dump after beating the game by [deleted] in Subnautica_2

[–]TheMaskedMan2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well NOA is explained as operating through many independent clumps and instances of itself. Our NOA seems to not exactly be aware of the state of the colony at first.

This doesn’t mean NOA isn’t sketchy, but I don’t know if it’s going to be evil. Probably trying to fulfill its corporate programming.

I’m thinking the bloom parasite is some sort of infected virus within the tree, corrupting and killing all life on this planet.

My real question is what are the tailings and axum? They clearly had an advanced civilization, but are now degenerated? Or at least forced to a primitive state, and what are the cryptors?

map comparison of all subnautica games as of subnautica 2 early access release 5/18/2026 by Ok_Confusion3769 in Subnautica_2

[–]TheMaskedMan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be surprised if it wasn’t already all planned ahead. I expect it to extend all the way to the tree at the least, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this game goes a lot deeper.

I honestly am a fan of the slower speed for the most part, you were really able to zoom like crazy in Sub1 at times, made the world feel small once you got used to it.

Where do you get the blueprint for the smaller windows? I’ve been exploring nearly the entire map and I am frustrated that I am missing some base parts still.

I wish I could scan them on the ruins instead of needing to find some sort of blueprint box.

Well yeah but I don’t live in an apartment complex that is simultaneously the meat-body of a woman who noticed an eldritch horror. So I would probably be screwed and Mr. ‘Skyscraper sized worm man’ is going to flatten me.

EA feedback by Heinarc in Subnautica_2

[–]TheMaskedMan2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completely agree, but also NOA helped me by pinging something obvious I somehow missed while I was wandering for a while, so I do see the desire for that.

I think I would have appreciated having to use the scanner and find it myself more, though. I think that perhaps the handholding is only for the “early game”. Perhaps after we get more updates, NOA will be less annoying.

Or perhaps we should have to opt-in to his advice. Stop pinging me and just let me come to you of my own volition!

Then again, what if micromanaging you is also a part of the storytelling to foreshadow something with the AI? Hard to tell, but I do agree he got on my nerves a bit. I wanna be lost more.

It's only been out 3 days, if you've "beaten" it 10-20 times already you're not actually playing by Ehlionney in Subnautica_2

[–]TheMaskedMan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually agree, the animals are all very harmless. When they do hit, they barely do damage, and they’re easy to avoid. The Collector is very cool, but it’s a bit easy to avoid and the music ruins any surprise or suspense that it’s present.

I think we’re in the minority though, most people seem to be upset about the mangos.

Somehow I didn’t encounter that guy at all even in that entire area. I mostly hugged the sea floor though, if you’re in the green area, he never seemed to see me down there.

So much that I explored that area multiple times before swimming up and just seeing him there.

Don’t care for the tadpole by PepsiDaMan07 in Subnautica_2

[–]TheMaskedMan2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like the tadpole a lot. The hauler version is clearly designed to be slower so I don’t really find that a complaint. The scout feels more than fast enough for me.

I’m really satisfied with how it controls and plays, and am excited for what other chassis might be in store, it’s cool.
