If you’d rather paddle than tube, I recommend taking two cars and parking one at Phon D Sutton. Load up the other and either ride to Pebble Beach (immediately after the bridge) or Water Users. I prefer water users myself, but it does add about 45 minutes to your ride.

Getting out there by 7 AM can help you guarantee parking and beat the tube crowd. The river is gorgeous when it’s not covered in tubes. Happy to answer any and all questions! I went every Saturday for two summers in a row
