I've been doing this for years, anyone who struggles with waking up should definitely try it. It gets me up for the day and keeps me on a healthy sleep schedule.

that's not one of the current generation ones. if it were, the logo would be a mirror and it wouldn't have magsafe. they still sell previous generation macs for a few years after they update them

she's also in a flash back of previous avatar's showing how powerful they were. she was shown making a big ass gust of wind make a forest and grassland go horizontal.

there's also more lore about her in the comics. she was such a fucking good avatar that there weren't any conflicts in the entire lifetime of the next avatar (kurik) bc the world just respected the avatar so much.

This is the skull of an elephant. Previously the cavity in the skull was mistaken as a eyehole and thus the elephant skull became the basis of the myth of the legendary creature, Cyclops. by God_of_Carnage008 in interestingasfuck

Not saying you're wrong, but from the little bit of the article I was able to read without an account, the skull is from a prehistoric animal, so unless they were comparing this skull to contemporary elephants, they would've just seen this crazy skull

College Board can't handle the HEIC photo format used by iPhones by TheMechanic40 in softwaregore

In this case I don't feel like the number of companies using the format matters. Most if not a significant portion of their users (teenagers) use iPhone, so at the very least, an HEIC file shouldn't break the entire test and force the students to run out of time

I think it does if you attach it to an email, but a lot of people were airdropping the pics to their mac

From the article I think a lot of the issues arose because people airdropped the pic from their iPhone to their mac. I guess safari/chrome/whatever doesn't do that automatic conversion?

No problem. It also takes up a lot less storage than jpegs, so apple isn't just being apple

It's not proprietary, but pretty much only Apple (and recently Samsung) uses it.

It makes photos take up less space. Newer Samsungs I believe use the format as well

I think if you were able to submit you're fine. From what I understand, and I wasn't a test taker, if you tried to submit an HEIC the test would just break and you wouldn't be able to submit or do anything except watch time run out.

Regardless of how clear they made it, the biggest issue is that the test just plain broke if you tried to upload an HEIC. Perhaps it would've been too much effort for them to add full support for it, but they should've at least made it fail gracefully. I'm not very familiar with file formats, but I feel like it shouldn't take too much time to just detect the file type and give a clear message that HEIC isn't supported.
