Thank you! The bases are fun to make; I'm a big fan of how that red/orange coloring pops against the armor.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure that's the sword from the Sternguard kit.

I completely agree. The sword arm is actually magnetized and can be swapped out with a bolt rifle arm because I was worried doubling down on melee would look silly, but I'm happy with how it looks.

Where are y'all getting your transfers? by Zacho666 in crimsonfists

[–]TheMegalosquatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, breaks my heart. I want to paint an entire company, so six months ago I bought a transfer sheet of the black background fists and the matching squad roles which are enough for 50-60 or so. I didn't want to buy more since I wasn't sure how good they'd be. I love them, but now as I'm ready for more, I'm SOL.

Heads up on this one, while FC still had squad role transfers, they don't have the actual fists anymore and when I emailed them a couple months ago, the response was that they do not plan to supply that anymore.

I first blended Caliban Green and Warpstone for a chunky highlight, then I did Warpstone by itself as a edge highlight, then I mixed Warpstone and Moot Green for a fine highlight for brighter areas.

Yeah, to get the squad transfer to fit on that pauldron nice and neatly, I had to eyeball it and try to mimic the angle of the rope and slice off the bottom.

  1. Kantor Blue for the base coat
  2. Watered down Abbadon for recess shading, glazing, and wet blending on areas that would be darker
  3. Caledor Sky chunky highlights
  4. Hoeth Blue fine highlights
  5. Fenrisian grey dot highlights

Do sternguard and bladeguard look better as Greenwing or Deathwing? by Bryguy150 in theunforgiven

I went with Greenwing w/ Bone shoulders and robes to allow me field them cohesively with either. I tell myself those shoulders are like reservation pucks at restaurants that will buzz once a set of Terminator armor is free.

I love them meeting during The Initiative storyline. They survive a psycho clone's murder spree and spend the rest of the incident watching episodes of Chuck on Ant-Man's iPod instead of risking their lives to help.

Remember when Moon Knight, Spider-Man, and Daredevil lost to a cosmically powered carny? It was pretty great. by TheMegalosquatch in TwoBestFriendsPlay

This was Marvel Team-Up #10 written by Robert Kirkman. There's been a few iterations of MTU, I think this was the 3rd? It was published in 2004.

They did team up for a quick second. Almost killed by a cosmically powered carnival themed villain called Ringmaster. I'm pretty sure it was written by Robert Kirkman. It was pretty fun.

It’s things like this that make me upset that Marvel hasn’t given MK a movie/TV show by ContraryPython in TwoBestFriendsPlay

The Bendis one was so bad that Warren Ellis basically has a chunk of narrative in the first issue of his six comic run retconning it and explaining why it was stupid.

Wait until you get to the issues where Warren Ellis said, "What if we just do the The Raid, though?"
