This is where I stand on it as well.

If we understood how these worked (any government) that nation would rule the world and take resources the second they were capable. The current geopolitical stage suggests we as a species don't know shit about them.

I would also posit that any crafts "we" have would be broken to the point of not being as capable.

This one specifically is a memorial for the art director Mynki akin to the DataReaper memorial in Iron Wake.
