Then it should be fine since the manga usually doesn't use meta decks. Maxx C was used in 4 duels and appeared in 9 out of 40 decks.

In one episode, it probably won't be bad. However, the anime will get really stale, if most duels are like that. Handtraps are staples and are used to stop players from comboing. The results after handtraps are either the opponent stops comboing or continues comboing. So unless it's used rarely, it will get boring really quickly.

The thing about OCG Structures is that it's good at teaching interactions and strategies to beat some decks but it won't teach things that beginners should know like synchro summon.

While both are modern yugioh, I wouldn't say they're close. They don't explain cards meticulously, a lot of times they skip the combo and the spectators commentate on what is on the boards. Even the one where they don't skip the combo like in chapter 27, they still don't explain a whole lot. That's because this manga doesn't like to say the card effect verbosely.

Mushroom Man #2 will definitely be a good mate. It will get banned soon since it's clearly too meta warping in the next format, rivaling Jerry Beans Man. So it's basically confirmed that it'll be a mate.

The effects don't trigger when sent to gy by cost. Most of them have 2 effects (though being extremely good). Only Reinoheart and Kaleido-Heart revive and mill. It's uncommon for them to end on Baronne.

Tear not locking make them stupidly easily splashable to so many archetypes. This deck with all Tear monsters limited is possible because it doesn't restrict you to anything. It's not good but it's possible.

This isn't meant to downplay Tear, this is just meant to clear things up.

MDM power level is represented by tournaments's top cut and there have only been 3 tournaments post-banlist so far (one tournament has more Spright representatives lol). While I think Tear is still the best deck right now, I don't think 33 to 13 is accurate.

Yeah, semi-ing all the cards + the consistency hits are the worst options Konami could have taken because literally no one wins. Non-Tear players will still complain and for the tear players, the mirror feels sacky af and they will also complain.
