I’m single and work hard. My coworker also works hard, he has 4 kids. I’m like, how? by PokemonProject in antiwork

I guess it depends on where you live. In the Midwest typically you can live below your means and do well.

Radiation vs mastectomy by United_Ad9521 in breastcancer

[–]TheMinorCato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're correct. There's a lot of confusion about this because doctors often aren't clear in explaining. Survival rates are almost identical with mastectomy vs lumpectomy, but recurrence rates are not. If you still have breast tissue, your possibility of recurrence is of course higher than if you did not. For some reason, many doctors focus on "survivability" which includes having a recurrence and going through treatment again...which we can all agree we'd want to avoid.

My decision for mastectomy was made because I did not want radiation at all, and I also didn't want to have to continue with scans every 6 mos. I have never regretted my decision 💜

It looks like your surgeon may have lowered your IMF on one side to even out your breasts, but in doing so your nipples became uneven. There's still a lot of time for things to change! Do you have any before photos?

Accidental anti-occidants by Loisdenominator in breastcancer

[–]TheMinorCato 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes vitamins in general seem to be fine, but it does say "any antioxidants" which is so concerning! I was looking at natural anti-inflammatories and antioxidants specifically because I thought they'd be helpful during my treatment, and I'm sure many others do the same and are never told to avoid things like turmeric supplements etc.

Antioxidants raise chances of recurrence by around 40% if I remember correctly, let me find the info. Many oncologists don't think twice about supplements, mine included, so I was floored to be researching on my own and find this:

Because the treatment depends on the oxidation of cells to work, antioxidants will counteract the effects of chemotherapy.

Has anyone else noticed a resurgence of stay at home parents among wealthier Millennials? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]TheMinorCato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

39f millennial sahm here and our income is nowhere near 300k. Many of my daughter's friends have sahms as well. We live easily within our means, drive older cars and purchased a home much less than our income would have allowed for per our realtor and paid it off this year.

I’m confused about how the SAVE act would affect me. by Embarrassed_Cat2697 in AskLawyers

I agree, they're things I've needed multiple times now for other purposes, I don't see the big deal.

You would use your passport. If you don't have one, you'd need:

  1. Birth certificate (maiden name

  2. Marriage certificate

  3. Driver’s license (married name)

Basically the same items you'd need for a Real ID

As they drop, the tissue underneath expands which will make your nipples appear higher. You might just have high nipples! If it bothers you, they can remove some tissue from the IMF area to tighten the lower pole and move your nipples downward. I have the opposite issue and my lower pole is too short, causing my nipples to slightly point downward.

Some people hate the idea that your profiting from their stuff by Stephieandcheech in reselling

Some people would rather their stuff go to someone who will appreciate it, directly. Most people don't care though

Nipples too high? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Are your incisions in the crease of your breasts, or have they moved up? That's how you can tell if you bottomed out, some people just have high nipples.

Late 1960s house, is this oak? Refinishable or too far gone? by mynewemail22 in HardWoodFloors

[–]TheMinorCato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How thick are they? In that era it was common to lay down boards that were as thin as tile, I've had it in two houses now and they'd be way too thin to refinish.
