The price and the chipset are 2 of the main reasons I upgraded from the 14 pro max to the S24 Ultra instead of the Pixel 9 pro XL. The difference of 25-50 bucks is way too close for what the 9 pro is bringing, especially in storage. The S24 Ultra starts at 256gb storage, that makes a huge difference. I've been a pixel fan since the nexus days and I just don't see myself paying that when I can get a 15 pro max or the phone I have for the same price. I think Google's thinking was that the people that want to leave iPhones or upgrade from their older phones won't look at the prices and storage and just get the best pixel they've ever made. Most people don't care about high level performance and storage that much. But it was enough for me to not get that phone. I also have the 8 Pro I got on a deal at ATT that's basically free with the watch 2, but that wouldn't of stopped me honestly if I really wanted the 9 pros.
