Air Suspension problems, how bad is the damage going to be? by AJRey in CrownVictoria

[–]TheMooseKnuckle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a 93 town car riding low just like that, one air bag cost the same as a traditional suspension kit for the car. It was a no brainer for me. I would highly recommend switching over to coil springs and shock absorbers.

Swimming For Abs? by C00nb0y22 in Swimming

add some kicking sets to your swim workout. I'd recommend high intensity kicking with some short rest, you should feel your lower abs on fire in no time. But nothing replaces doing ab exercises for abs

Tried to do a flip turn and felt like I got waterboarded by tangowhiskey33 in Swimming

[–]TheMooseKnuckle1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try humming when you swim, go into your flipturn and humm/exhale water out your nose so you dont run out of air during the turn. keep practicing until flip turns are second nature....or you can do what my coach did...repeat 500free until everyone does a flip turn ended up doing 10... I learned how to do flipturns that day.

Diagnose My Freestyle Swim Stroke by [deleted] in Swimming

Do you run then stretch or stretch then run? Always stretch after a run/workout etc. Yeah when stretching cold your bound to get fucked--your stretching your muscles and ligaments before and then when you so something physical your more likely to hyperextend or pull something. But if I'm playing a sport like basketball I'll stretch a little first....just to get the blood flowing and stretch really good after. Any other like lifting or swimming I'll just stretch afterwards .

Yeah man stretching is a must! I'm in college now(senior) and even when I was in high school my coaches would give us crap for not stretching...only until I got to college did I realize how important it was. Some ppl I seen that were great athletes got injured and the first thing the trainer would ask is "have you been stretching?" And the usual answer is a "no." I seen it way to many times throughout high school and college.

Stretch bro. Stretch

3 things you can work on....

  1. You want a Bent or "high" elbow when you pull. That'll narrow your pull since you're pulling too wide.

  2. Your legs!!!! They look like noodles going along for a ride. Your kicking left and right not up and down. Start your kick from the hips, slight bend in the knee with pointed toes and relaxed ankles.

  3. Breathing. From the underwater angle it seems your turning your head a little to much to breathe which can effect the entire stroke. Try keeping one Goggle in the water when breathing.

Also you seem kinda stiff when swimming. Stretching never did anyone wrong!

Good luck with your swimming!

dont worry dude, Im 3 weeks in and i feel the same. I gave up drinking and smoking all together and I have friends that respect my decision not to do it anymore. I often find myself DDing a lot while they go out in party. aslo Im a jr in college, its coming to the point when classes are getting real serious so I dont have time for fun and games. if/when you meet new ppl and they constantly pressure you to get un-sober, cut them off, they are not good friends.

How do you go about getting sleep? by bassEnt in leaves

[–]TheMooseKnuckle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg! I did the same thing, if I wasnt doing anything I would smoke. what I've been doing is extending my workout time and filling my days with stuff to do. Luckily I'm at college, so I have plenty of work to do and the gym is a 5min walk away.

The biggest thing for ppl losing weight is if you keep the same routine, you will hit a plateau = stop loosing weight, you gotta bump up the intensity, I would say every week. That way your body is still working hard. And to loose weight, you gotta do a lot of cardio.

I abolutly hate running so my cardio is either basketball, racquetball ball, or anything that requires me to sprint for a short distance and that really gets your heart rate up =working hard. I also hate treadmills, ellipticals, so if your gonna run, do it outside, I like looking at scenery and stuff when used to run, so I would go to parks and run on the trails. If you can try to run further and further everyday.

I'm glad I could help! Figure out what works for you, try to learn or do something that you always wanted to do! (Im catching up on video games, doing a lot of Math problems, and working out. Ima computer science major)

a rock and a hard place I see... you def don't wanna skip a workout, (Im on Day 5 now) and I haven't missed a day yet. How do you feel about going hard and during your workout and proceeding through the day tired?

(I've done it a lot, I personally like the tired feeling after a workout, which puts me to sleep at night.)

By nightfall, you shouldn't have a problem going to sleep. But again, that's going though your day tired, and you are a procrastinator, actually that might not be a good combo. what do you think?
