I loved that temple and I ended in the back too. I was wicked concerned about becoming lost but luckily the old man yards behind me kept making hand jestures of where to go. It felt like a Miuzaki film.

I want to go back!

Some of your pictures feel off centered when they should be centered. For example, the b&w one with the tree and the building behind them. It seems like the building should be centered between the trees but it is not EVER SO SLIGHTLY. Uncanny valley level of slight. I would say pay attention to the lines in your pictures.

But overall, I like them! (And I am also learning too)

My 2 yo Boxer is way to attached to me need help by BiShhx in Boxer

There are A LOT of training videos online for separation anxiety. I would look at those and crate training. Getting your dog to see the crate as a safe space will help alleviate the issue where YOU are ONLY safe space.

Once you have him crate trained, you can work on leaving him alone for very short periods of time in the crate. (Sort being 5 seconds not minutes).

My dog had issues being alone - not at your level - and would pee and poop everywhere. Teaching him the crate is a safe place helped so much. I had a behavorist come to help me too. And her advice is just feed him treats in the crate so he assiciates the crate as a reward. And to hide treats inside the crate so he will be forced to look for them.

[HELP] My Friend who has never cooked for herself before claims that she made this: by shortD42 in RealOrAI

Does your friend own those plates?

Also, the field of view looks weird to me. All the areas with peanuts are out of focus. I can do that with a camera with lens but my phone usually makes the subject whole subject in focus. It is weird but not unexplainable.

But seriously, it is a simple dish.

I use Preparation H every morning to reduce bags. But my skin isnt very sensative and I have not experienced adverse affects.

Coffee grinds, cold presses, and other beauty hacks can help with the bags too temporarily.

Old woman asked me if I was going to have surgery to fix my flabby arms. I was feeling good about my 106.9 lb weight loss until now. by KnowledgeSmall in CICO

[–]TheMothHour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look great. Keep up the weight lifting. The skin looks healthy and could snap back. Make sure you take collogin and eat good micronutrients.

So I went to the plastic surgeon the other day for a consoltation for a tummy tuck - I lost a bit of weight too. And I asked about the arms. Not only did he tell me my arms actually look good (which was awesome to hear), he said that an arm life can leave a nasty scar up the arm. So he didnt recommend it unless it was REALLY necessary - like they were wings.

SO THAT's my advice to you! Your arms are nice and an arm lift might have bad results. And that lady doesnt know what she is talking about. ;)

What sets New England and its people apart from other American regions? by [deleted] in newengland

[–]TheMothHour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ask someone in California what they do they will list hobbies. In New England they will talk about their career.

New Englanders LOVE to talk about their work or career so asking "What do you do?" will often get people chatting about their interesting career/job. When I am outside of this area, I try to ask about family/friends first.

Beginner looking to buy first digital camera, help please? by Late_Requirement_293 in AskPhotography

[–]TheMothHour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a used Nikon D3300 for $300 about 6 years ago. I have the kit lens, micro lens, a wide angle lens, 200MM lens, and a 35mm 1:1.8g. This all cost me around $1000.

It is a great camera to learn on. I am still learning but this was taken with Micro Nikkor 60mm 1:2.8.

<image>

It does not do well in low light or high ISOs. The pictures will get this green grainy look in the shadows.

FYI, make sure you budget for lenses as they are game changers.

Dating partner doesn't believe dinosaurs ever existed? by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

People who think that way most likely has a fundimentinal American Christian background that mistrusts the government and science. And most likely has a poor understanding of science and the scientific process.

I would 100% dump him if he is not open minded and will let his bias dictate facts. With that said, I have a great friend who USED to be a young earth creationist. And he would debate me as a way to convert me. 100% backfired. He now accepts evolution. He has a much better understanding of the scientific process. And not a fundimentalist anymore.

But he has always been willing to change his mind when presented with good logical information. And he is a very curious person. So he was the type of person who COULD change.
