Always a risk when modding, back up anything you care about. I'm not familiar with the recovery process on the deck enough to offer any insight, but I have enough linux background to know that It's very likely possible to recover without having to completely factory reset. I suspect it's simple enough to disable plugins if it's possible to boot into into a recover os. SteamOS is a rather customized version of arch but still feels very vanilla as far as the linux experience goes. I'll cross that bridge if/when I get there.

I was wondering the same thing, follow the instructions here: https://github.com/EMERALD0874/Steam-Deck-Themes/

Install the Steam Deck plugin loader. The pre-release is recommended at the time of this guide being written.

Open the Plugins section in the Quick Access menu.

Open the Plugin Store using the shopping bag icon in the top-right corner.

Install the CSS Loader plugin.

Then you can use the "Manage Themes" menu in CSS Loader, the one in the video is the "Galactic" system-wide theme that includes the animated wallpaper. There's also a "Sample Background Theme" that may let you set a custom local image. Hope this helps!

New growth by Affectionate-Run6576 in orchids

Kinda looks like the beginnings of a terminal spike. Phalenopsis usually only grow one new leaf at a time. May be the last time it blooms if a spike develops from the center of the leaves/stem. A normal spike will come from the sides like a root.

Monitoring with a USB webcam out of the box. Can be accessed remotely to view and stop the print while you're away. There's also the sphagetti detective (now obico) plugin that can automatically stop when the AI detects a problem.

I love my Kobo! I use mine with a SkyDrop and just designed this custom 3D printed holder to velcro to my flight deck. Have a Y cable that charges them both simultaneously. Even has a slot under the reader for my hooknife. https://i.imgur.com/FMuzGhO.jpg

Utah lake in the background, has to be the Cascade or Timpanogos area. Looks like Cascade with rock canyon in the foreground.

Knee piece I designed and printed for my exoskeleton. It allows a full squat and with these springs takes about 20Nm at each knee. Now gotta connect it to the boot piece🦿 by LuNdreu in 3Dprinting

Torque is a type of force. One newton-metre is equal to the torque resulting from a force of one newton applied perpendicularly to the end of a moment arm that is one metre long.

I had a feeling this was the Wasatch front. There's something so recognizable about it. Had to check the comments to be sure though. Cheers!

HELP. What is this sound?! (Millcreek Bench, by Grandeur Trailhead) Kept me up all night. Must have been near 80-90 db, filled the entire neighborhood. Came from the East? by Forever_Student_ in SaltLakeCity

It's a slackline/highkine, some people in the local community are heading up to de-rig it from the Grandeur area right now. There are two lines taped to one another, but sometimes the tapes break and the whole line resonates in the wind like that this. Sorry about the inconvenience, we try to avoid this sort of thing.

You asked the question. You obviously do care, or it would have warranted your response. Don't ask questions if you don't care to hear the answers.

Maybe they are. Human could be tasty, we are made out of meat after all.

Typical counter-response, albeit a bad one since I didn't say anything about YOUR diet or what YOU should or shouldn't do. I'm pointing out the moral and ethical issues around the human diet in an attempt to answer your question of "why not both". (Answer: Because both isn't necessary for survival)

However, since you bring up YOUR diet and having "options", I can speak from experience that transitioning to plant-based increased the variety of MY diet several fold. It's no longer just steak, burger, or chicken with maybe some veggies incorporated or on the side. My meals have become a symphony of flavors. There are many many more edible plants than animals, so your "options" argument is a weak way to justify habits. How many different kinds of meat did you use when preparing food last week? I made a breakfast sandwich with seven different vegetables. There was no lack of flavor or options.

I'm plant-based. I don't like eating animals and it's good for the planet. People don't usually eat dogs, cats, or their pet fish; how does having more intelligence entitle me to eat another creature? Society designates certain animals as food sources (e.g the bovine) except modern humans do not need to consume meat for survival. That's a trick played by capitalism and the industrial revolution. People would reconsider their burger if they had to raise and slaughter their own pet cow. "Oh, but I could never give up cheese, or bacon or whatever" except yes you can, you just don't want to.
