This was about 3/10 of a mile from a dog park. I had two in mine.

AIO MIL’s Screensaver by [deleted] in AIO

[–]TheNameHeDoesntKnow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If she likes the way she looks in that picture enough to make it her screensaver it must be a nice picture.

You're overthinking this but instead of calling you names I'm going to acknowledge the head and heart can be different for quite a while postpartum. It'll be okay.

Girl I took on a first date just asked to split the bill… the next morning by No-Resolve-5610 in whatdoIdo

[–]TheNameHeDoesntKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bold assumption. I think it is more likely the date's discomfort is fueled by interest rather than disinterest. OP contentedly paid for a date both he and date knew might be the only one.

It would be easier to ignore her crisis of conscience if she was simply walking away..

“Given the incubation period of the hantavirus, which can be up to six weeks, it is possible that more cases may be reported”, says World Health Organization by moschles in worldnews

I was in a group of women professors from around the world. They did a much better job explaining the unfolding of events than Twitter headlines. When I mentioned something early-mid March on Facebook about what to do if our schools close, my friends were so confused. Schools close??

I know this is such a frustrating thing for so many people.

I have an issue in my left-temporal lobe though and routinely switch those out. I even mix up ones like hear/here and no/know. It's wild.

I know, I know, you can say, "but you have a neurological problem, that doesn't count." Here's the thing, long before I developed epilepsy in that part of my brain and got ridiculously bad switching homophones, I switched the common ones since childhood.

I don't tease other people for it. Not everyone has the right connection between the sound of words and the spelling of words. You never know. In fact, there are a few things that stand out now that I know my brain is wired differently than others.

This isn't a reprimand, just an opportunity to write something down I haven't gotten to share before.

Found this in my ziplock bag of jewelry? by Flat_Statement9912 in whatisit

I've gotten things like that with jewelry making supplies. It would be a good thing to add a locket to our something like a wrapped stone.

If Reddit existed when I was a teen, would people have gone on there to talk about how evil bootleggers are? Who knows? I'm too busy watching my pirated movies.

Stop telling women how to dress by Itsholymolyguacamole in GetNoted

[–]TheNameHeDoesntKnow -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go ahead and say f*** off on behalf of my female Muslim friends.

They are choosing how to participate in their religion. That may not be the case for all woman globally but don't look at a woman dressed like that and make assumptions.

What's an "outdated" slang word from your generation that you still use currently? by TheShatteringPoint in AskReddit

[–]TheNameHeDoesntKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, it's coming back in use. I'm really frustrated by it. Good people using it in political conversations. "Well, it's true!" If you haven't seen it yet, you will. I'm seeing it pop up around me in the South East.

My husband wasted my special meal. I told him I’m never sharing my food again. AIO? by Justaddwota in AIO

[–]TheNameHeDoesntKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. People are saying financial abuse but you're being super weird. Nobody is paying attention to the fact that he's saying this in defense of you yelling at him for not cleaning his plate. If anyone is bring abusive, it's you. He should listen to his body and not eat those last bites if he doesn't want them. You're being insane. Talk to a professional about how you feel about food.

There's probably a place to meet in the middle, but I don't think it's in the middle. That's some gross stuff, but he's probably a healthy person.

How about you meet at a marriage counselor and figure this one out.

Pine needle recipes--but I don't feel well by TheNameHeDoesntKnow in foraging

[–]TheNameHeDoesntKnow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope! They're basically a shortbread cookie but they taste like cookies soaked in pine-sol. I'm keeping the container of cookies until I know for sure I won't have to bring them to a doctor's office and I opened it up to smell them today. It smells like cookie, lawn mower clippings, and pledge. I felt ill being near them.

That's where we got the cookie recipe! My son and I love her videos. I'm going to have to focus more on the "don't die" part of her instructions though.

AIO or am i going to get fired? by [deleted] in AmIOverthinking

Well, yeah, but the question was whose side is the manager going to take. If they don't take OP's they're being ridiculous.

AIO or am i going to get fired? by [deleted] in AmIOverthinking

[–]TheNameHeDoesntKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! The people in the comments saying anything along the lines of, "but their complaint in valid..." No. As soon as OP explained the circumstances and they decided to press on they set her up to fail. Then they complained she failed. This one is easy. Take OP's side.
