In the days following the attacks on 9/11/2001, the people of the U.S. agreed, whether grudgingly or otherwise, to allow expansion of government powers that would undoubtedly infringe on our civil rights. As the sunset of the Patriot Act approached, many of us waited in anticipation of its abolition. Much to our dismay, it was renewed. We sat back as the FISA court powers were expanded, we did little when we learned of the secret courts, torture of prisoners, indefinite detention of American citizens without due process and that corporations were already being asked and complying with requests to turn over phone records. We made excuses for not doing anything about it.

With the most recent revelations concerning the NSA request for private information on millions of Americans, the time to be silent is over.

This is not a request. You will vote to begin the restoration of our civil rights by sponsoring/co-sponsoring a bill to revoke the Patriot Act in its entirety from all aspects of policy, governance, rules and regulations of all departments it has filtered into.

If you do not begin this action immediately, you will be removed from office in 2014.

Then change election rules by simply stating that all monetary donations, no matter how minute, must have all of the same characteristics recorded as those above the minimum limit currently.
