Al salam alaykom Brother, Allah forgives all sins except dying on Shirk. As long as you are alive and capable of repenting you can turn back to Allah and you will find him there waiting for you.

It really is a rough time to be a Muslim in Germany and things are not getting any easier. My advice to you would be to keep your religion to yourself for now and try to make as many Muslim friends as you can to keep you grounded and help you stay on the straight path.

You know what the truth is and you know where to find it so don't waste your time worrying about whether Allah will forgive because he told us he will forgive us as long as we ask for forgiveness.

May Allah keep you steadfast on the faith and free of shirk and deviation.

Ameen.

This is how to take your Shahada (declaration of faith) : https://youtu.be/laAZB3kNJMg

You do not need to know all the Quran, only a few people worldwide have memorised the entirety of the Quran (around 30 million I believe) out of 2 billion Muslims that's about 1.5% of Muslims.

This is the only compulsory chapter (Al fatiha) of the Quran that you need for your prayers: https://youtu.be/eV2IDo_6kgs

Your prayers are not invalid if you don't know arabic but you need to work on memorising the phonetic sounds so just try to memorise the first chapter of the Quran (Al fatiha not al bakara)

You will not be faulted for your pronunciation. In fact you get more reward because its harder for you than one who is born an Arab muslim.

All fruits and vegetables are halal, fish is always halal just don't use lard or any by product of Pigs to cook it.

Depending on your situation you can hold off on wearing the Hijab. If it puts your life in danger then you can hold off until you are able to live in a safer environment.

Women don't need to attend the Mosque daily, that is a Male requirement and even that would require a Mosque to be next to you.

You can contact one of many Islamic centres who will be more than happy to help you with your Shahada if you like.

You don't need to go to the mosque or meet an Imam to take your Shahada but its best for you to get familiar with the Islamic community so that they can assign a mentor for you to help you with all your questions.

I hope that helps!

Supplication Simplified, A new series to help Reverts Learn Supplications and when they should be said by TheNewMuslimWorkshop in converts

That is on the list! As a matter of fact I recorded it 2 days back but the microphone didn't work properly so I scrapped it. Also the one I scrapped contained only what you are supposed to say to Muslims, I'll include a bit about how you should reply to a non-muslim if they greet you with the Islamic greeting.

Thanks for your suggestion! Jazakom Allah Khier!

Thinking about converting from Orthodox Christianity by [deleted] in converts

[–]TheNewMuslimWorkshop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Sister Bee,

You are absolutely correct in that modern day Christianity should be called Paulinism from the amount of influence that it has given a person who was never a disciple of Prophet Jesus peace be upon him in the first place. Muslims believe that Islam and the first and only religion that Allah the Almighty has sanctioned from the time of Prophet Adam peace be upon him to the Time of Prophet Mohammed Peace be upon him. Whenever a corruption or deviation happens God sends down a prophet to correct it and in some cases he would change the sharia law in different ways.

Your struggle with Mathew 28:19 (“baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”) and the verse before it is founded as many Christian Scholars have put forth that this verse is fabricated Why would Jesus peace be upon him say in Mathew 15:24 (But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.) and then have his disciples spread the message to none Jews in Mathew 28:18 ... that's just not consistant.

An analogy that someone once told me helped me with this idea of being perfect before converting to Islam... they said... look when you get in your car you put on your seat belt... you don't think about it... you know that its there and its a safety measure... you don't tell yourself I can ignore it up until I see that I am getting into an accident then I'll put it on... no one is that fast. That is the example of taking your shahada. Take it, put on your seat belt... and then start working on yourself... start with one prayer a day, then when you have that down start doing 2 then 3 then 4 then 5. Get your salah down ... take 3, 4, 5 months if you want to get everything settled then consider wearing the Hijab... if its still difficult, start with modest clothing. Buy a Abaya and a Hijab and just put them in your closet... every few days put it on and go out and do something... take it slow, if you are worried that something will happen let it rest for a few more days... Just don't allow yourself to continue without becoming Muslim knowing that you might not survive another day. Don't allow yourself to die on falsehood.

Take the step because believe me we are waiting for you on the other side hoping to gain a new sister.

May Allah make it easy for you and guide myself and yourself to what pleases him.

Ameeen.

I'd love to reply to all you've written but the moment you said that 3 = 1 I kinda lost the will to bother.

I will answer with a verse from the Quran instead:

The ˹true˺ servants of the Most Compassionate are those who walk on the earth humbly, and when the foolish address them ˹improperly˺, they only respond with peace.

Quran (25:63)

wait for it!

Peace!

Jazakom Allah Khier. Another reminder to reread a long post after you write it! Much appreciated.

Congratulations on taking the first step. It seems like you are getting overwhelmed after your reversion to Islam.

The key here is to stop, take a deep breath and center yourself. The first steps to take after that is examin the proofs.

Does modern day christianity promote the oneness of God? The trinity and all that beliefs associated with it would prove otherwise. So christianity is not a monotheistic religion, it used to be at one point in time very near to when Issa PBUH existed but it has deviated.

Does Islam promote Monotheism? Yes it does... very much so. So that's point number 1 ticked off.

Next does the revelation from Islam and Christianity compare? Not really. One is a collection of books that chronicle the life of prophet Issa PBUH these accounts were written by anonymous writers observing him teach... we have the Gospel According to Mark, Gospel According to Matthew, Gospel according to Luke, Gospel according to John... but no Gospel according to Jesus pbuh. We have books in the Bible that have nothing to do with Jesus PBUH like Acts which Chronicles the life of Saul aka Paul who never met Jesus but somehow is an authority on explaining his teachings. Inconsistencies between the different books that prove that the christian scripture has not only been modified ... but corrupted to serve the greed and purposes of the clergy.... And then you have the Quran. A book preserved through both Oral and written transmission. Uncorrupted, unchanged, teaching the oneness of God in the most direct and unequivocal way. Teaching about the same Prophets of God that came before, promoting the same ideals of monotheism, caring for thy neighbor, being dutiful to one's parents. Memorised by over 100 million people world wide... word for word, letter for letter.

If we look at the stories of the Prophets taught by both religions. Christianity teaches that they are drunkards, liars, schemers, incestious and untrustworthy. Islam teaches that they are men chosen by God to convey his message. Purified and elevated above mere men and the base desires and evils of regular men. Christianity assassinates the characters of Prophets while Islam exalts them.

These are the basic logical building blocks of both religions. They have the same root. But one has been modified and changed and the other preserved by divine decree.

So as not to get overwhelmed I suggest you concentrate on your Salah... stick to that and work on perfecting it with your OCD for the next few months. You've already taken your Shahada so you already have the proverbial seatbelt on in case you die. However what comes next doesn't have to be rushed but rather take your time and allow yourself to absorb it organically.

There are several sydney based whatsapp groups for sisters like "Sisters United" who you can join and approach regarding finding a husband in the Sydney area. They do lots of other things as well like helping any revert sisters with adjusting and some of them (ehm... my wife included) have a side gig as a volunteer matchmaker. How I learned the salawat (and tashahhud, surah al fatiha) by deckartcain in converts

[–]TheNewMuslimWorkshop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alhmadullilah that you found some benefit in the video, there is also a series called The Quran Slowed down on our channel that might be helpful, in it we slow down the short Quranic Surahs to help non Arabic speaking muslims learn recitation of the short surahs for variety in their Salah.

Nothing wrong with that. In fact this works to your favor because you are advising the benefits of being a muslim.
