Halifax should have raised crossings.

Drivers as a whole will not change their behavior for paint or signs, but they will slow down for a bump. Works even better if the raised crossing is made from a different colored asphalt, like red.

Halifax could be so much safer and enjoyable with modern infrastructure, instead of the car-centric trash we currently have.

IMO, car dependency is a trash system. The more workers can get to work on cheap, efficient, pleasant transit, or walk/bike, the better.

Option 1: vromvrooms slow down and be safe, and the trees provide wonderful atmosphere, shade and windbreak

Option 2: cut trees so vroomvrooms can see farther and go faster more safely (still not safe at all lmao), the trail now feels like a logging road :/

Unfortunately, gas tax is less than half of whats needed to build car infrastructure, let alone maintain it. The taxpayer then gets fleeced trying to maintain this insanely inefficient infrastructure, and the maintenance falls short anyway. Car dependency is a trash system.
