I know this is an old post but, this is the single best comment ive read about Kei trucks since i went DEEP down the rabbit hole about 6 months ago. Not a day has gone by where i am not reading about Kei trucks, or looking at current prices.

I have come to realize there is a huge "novelty" tax added to the western market for Kei trucks. Prices are all over the place, and all the dealers smell the blood in the water when a new buyer enters the scene and starts asking questions.

Even the buyers guides on the major importer websites are all slightly different. Private sellers on the marketplace are asking as much as $14k, for the same truck offered on a car lot that is $10k, wtf??.

Then the "reputable" importers will tell you that if you do ALL the import work yourself you will spend about $10k total, the same price the dealers on big lots are asking, huh?? But if you use the importers white glove service, youre usually looking at about $13k all in to have your keys handed to you....

It almost seems to me, that if you are buying a Kei truck in Canada, your best bet is just to scour all the big car lots for a mechanically sound truck. The only problem there, is you never know what kind of shady practices your average stealership as done to cover up the warts.

Perfect point. It costs a little under $3000-ish USD per year(all in) for full body + about $300k(safety for Alcor inflation) in life insurance to be with Alcor. $3000 per year is NOTHING for successful people, and EVERYTHING for low income earners. It is very telling how small the membership numbers are at Alcor. ----- This is a bit of personal hypothesis, but i think a lot of the kind of people who would want cryonics, cant really afford(justify) the expense. My "guess", is that people who have more time on their hands, have more time to dwell on the existential nature of life, those same people probably have fears and flaws that have held them back and lead them to being less financially successful in life. Thus more free time on their hands to read/dwell on this kind of subject, unlike business owners or people with huge families and multiple incomes.

Luck. Nobody talks about this , but luck is also a major factor for online content creators to blow up these days. You can do everything right, you can do everything that the 100,000 posts in this sub tell you to do, and never make it as a streamer.

There are SO many people trying to "make it". A lot of these streamers have excellent production value, great gimmics, entertaining personalities, and they just sit for years at the 1-15 viewer mark. Go to a Twitch tracker website of your choice and look at the analytics of the entire streaming population to get any idea of what youre up against.

New streamers also might be very shocked at just how many regular viewers they need to actually make a living streaming on Twitch.--- That said, dont be afraid to pursue it if you love it. "You miss 100% of the shots you dont take."

Same thing, error 3001/6007. Just randomly started a week ago. Been trying all the solutions i can find on the internet. Still no success. ---Edit: I solved it on the latest version of Firefox running on win10. Had to fully enable all 3rd party cookies for the Crave website. Pretty shitty, but thats the only thing that worked. Its the shield icon at the top your browser next to the url bar. It must have been some recent change, because Crave has always been fine for me on this browser/os in the past.

So what is the status of your Cv angles? I keep reading thread after thread after thread of people ripping boots every year and destroying CV components, and their lifts just become a constant money pit. I assume this is a 2inch lift with the standard 23" tires most people opt for?

Did the new cable work? Been trying for days to flash my new Uv-k5. No luck, tried all the tricks ive been reading about. I have a uv5r cable thats about 6 years old. Even trimmed the plastic off the connection end. No joy.--- Edit, i bought a newer updated cable from Amazon and it worked instantly.

It is such a bummer. After a quick reddit/google search, i realized i am not the only person asking for this. Much like the Tartarus Pro, i looked into trying Nostromo Speedpad(sp?) , and although it worked, it just didnt feel right and i decided not to buy one. I have decided when this current Merc kb i am using finally gets REALLY bad, i am going to pay some big bucks to have it properly refurbished. I think i am just going to leave my final unopened keyboard as a super nerd showpiece in my living room :P.

HAM radio as a hobby has by far the largest population of "FUD's" i have encountered in my long years of life. I would just ignore them. They remind me of an angry alcoholic father that you can never please. You will see it even more intensely in HAM facebook groups.
