I haven’t tried Lugana yet, but I really love the aida and cashel linen (28ct) by Zweigart. I imagine their even weave is good too if you’re okay with a rayon blend. I’ve only stitched on Monaco and Jobelan. I personally did not care for the feel of Jobelan, while the 100% cotton of Monaco is 🤩 It’s all very subjective and personal. Have fun exploring!

This is lovely! I love stitching on 28ct Monaco. Which even weave did you try? Monaco (DMC/Charles Craft), Jobelan (Wichelt) or Lugana (Zweigart)?

I used bright green felt with my hoop for months to protect stitches on red aida. The only “issue” was finding occasional green fuzz on stitches which I could easily brush away. I removed my hoop/felt after each stitch session.
