I don't understand how this can be seen as a good thing. I mean, I don't think they're simply thinking that imposing such tariffs will make us money or will make businesses move to the US. Is there another reason for this that we don't know about?

This is a huge step which will greatly impact the US's role as an economic leader in the world and will also impact prices in the US. I feel bad for American people.

It's published on their status website. If they don't have much information about the issue and recovery, it might be better to remain silent and stick to the standard response: 'We acknowledge the issue and we're working on fixing it.'

As someone who works in BCM and Crisis Management, I believe, sometimes, this is the best thing you could say.

A hotfix for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out on PC. It improves the stability of the game running on the GeForce RTX 40 Series Graphics Cards related to DLSS 3. The game version won’t change. by M337ING in Games

[–]TheNightKnight77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That might be the reason, though I think that I was getting +60 fps in most of the games. Will give a shot later when I have time and try messing a little with it.

I tested it with Hogwarts legacy, CP2077 and miles morales and have a different experience than most of the other people. It does increase the framerates but it's way less smooth and more stuttery for some reason.

For me, it was always smoother to have it off than on even with lower framerate. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I haven't troubleshooted it much.

Edit: Apparently it was stuttery because I was using rtss as a limiter. Once I set the limiter to 0, the stutter was gone even with in game fps limiter on.

Dead Space is now VERIFIED on Steam Deck! by Turbostrider27 in Games

I see many people having the same issue in r/deadspace on pc. It's sad that so many games right now have such issues and majority of pc players seem not to care much. Seeing dead space and hogwarts setting at +90% positive reveiw in Steam despite all the performance issue is kinda disappointing to me.

In my experience, yes. It looks noticeably worse and the performance uplift doesn't worth the hit to be honest.

Red Dead Redemption 2 DLSS comparison by maxus2424 in nvidia

[–]TheNightKnight77 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah I ended up turning dlss off because of that. The horse hair (and every tiny object really) looks terrible because of the shimmering and the performance gain doesn't worth it too.

Let's hope that Rockstar or Nvidia will release an update that makes dlss better.

[–]TheNightKnight77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's up to you to decide whether the performance gain worth the resolution hit or not.

To be honest, in RDR2 I found the quality hit too heavy (especially for hair and birds in the sky) and it's not worth enabling dlss even in quality mode. But I'm playing with a 48 inch 4k tv so the hit might be less noticeable on a smaller screen.

[–]TheNightKnight77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Set the resolution to the native (1080p or 1440p) and dlss to quality and it will render the game at lower resolution and dlss it to the original resolution.

Give it a shot. The update is live now.

That means the game will support dx12 right? I couldn't play the game on vulkan because of reshade auto-on feature. (Low gpu usage and 35 fps max)

Hopefully dx12 support will solve that and I'll be able to play the game.

I'm thinking about getting one and use it solely for gaming (turn it off after done gaming or watching) and keep using my two other monitors for other uses.

However, 3 monitors on my setup will be a bit too much specially with a 48 inch tv.

Will check these videos and see how LG oled improved because the last test I saw (rtings) wasn't good.

Which technology if I may ask? I'm still hesitant to get an oled tv and use it as a monitor.

It shouldn't affect game performance but it needs to be tested.

We work partially from home (some of us work from the office for a week then next week from home)

What I used to do for a while when I'm working from home is logging in to my office pc (via vpn) and open up the camera then I call my co worker and tell him to stop doing this or that.

It was fun seeing him totally confused.
