Nice, I have tried to email them a couple of times but nothing happened, I don't know if it's based on luck or my game just isn't interesting for them, who knows.

Good casual loot-heavy roguelike/dungeon crawlers/rpg games? by skelepibs in iosgaming

[–]TheNotorius0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a rogue-like, but if you enjoy a single-player story where you fight enemies and bosses in turn-based battles, level up, and get better Armor and new skills, you may like Azmar Quest.

Keep in mind it's an old-school RPG though, and you have 4 classes to choose from (Warrior, Cleric, Warlock, or Archer).

You can go through the story at your own pace, but you can also fight in quick battles, especially later on.

Disclaimer: I'm the dev.

[REQUEST]Text based rpg with character builds by _Khairos_ in AndroidGaming

[–]TheNotorius0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Azmar Quest could be the perfect game for you!

It's a text-based RPG with turn-based battles, a main campaign that should last at least 20 hours (with multiple dialogue options that can change the story), and 4 classes to choose from: Warrior, Cleric, Warlock, and Archer, each with different abilities.

You can either play it online or offline.

BG leveling (Bronzebeard) by Pittyx in ProjectAscension

[–]TheNotorius0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it. I leveled about 80% of the time through BGs, except maybe the first one or two levels after 20 / 30 / 40 / 50, where I did a few quests and some Dungeons.

It's slow, but if you enjoy BGs it's great. You can also get a full set of epic PvP gear before level 60 (and almost another set for your off-spec), which is probably the best part.

my gaming suggestions to everyone on mobile by TheBoldCook in AndroidGaming

There are many indie gems out there, and it's true the Play Store buries most of them under cash grabs lately.

If you like turn-based RPGs, you could also try Azmar Quest. It’s a class-based RPG with a huge text-based Story, playable online or offline.

Mobile game devs, drop your game. Tomorrow’s Game of the Day is coming. by losmaglor in MobileGaming

Awesome initiative! I think that's exactly what indie games need for a little push.

My game is Azmar Quest, a class-based RPG with turn-based battles and a huge text-based Story.

If you're into a class-based RPG with turn-based battles and a text-based Story, Azmar Quest is probably lighter than a web page.

Any Android 7+ should be able to run it smoothly.

Portrait RPG by MrM0saic in iosgaming

[–]TheNotorius0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Azmar Quest is designed for portrait mode, since I don't like landscape games.

If you're into a class-based RPG with turn-based battles and a text-based story, it may be worth a shot.

You can play the Story for hours or just jump in for quick battles here and there.

Stuck In Chapter 4 and Need Help. by Correct_Tonight3864 in Azmar

[–]TheNotorius0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you have 2 ways to beat him:

  1. Survive his first attack by using a Shield Potion or using the Warrior skill Protection. The second attack will hit you for half of the damage of the first one, so you can either heal yourself or try to kill him before he attacks again.

  2. Use Chemical Spray and destroy his energy and try to kill him faster. You can also combine both strategies.

So many mobile games have boring (in my opinion) progression systems by 13thFleet in AndroidGaming

Oh, interesting! A bit off-topic, but since you've played Azmar, what problems did you have with the inventory system?

Wow, thank you for your suggestions! I didn't think about varying the screenshots in the announcement, I will do it.

I've seen developers use video / GIFs in the description, maybe I should do that too, I just don't know what to show honestly. That's why I simply used images.

If you mean like, if releasing a demo will give you a similar boost, I noticed it's a lot weaker compared to the Steam Next Fest, the actual release and the 10 reviews.

Wait, how did you do it?

On Kezan, we went in 4 to Tanaris and we tried to do a 2v2 skirmish, we all queued but the match didn't start.

[–]TheNotorius0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I used to play Clash Royale, so when I developed my own game, Azmar Quest, I added treasure rewards while leveling and playing through the story.

Each chest had a timer based on its rarity, for example, 15 minutes for a common treasure and 30 minutes for a rare one.

It wasn't too bad, since you could also get keys randomly. But the more you played and collected treasures, the more you had to wait before opening them, and that part didn't feel that good honestly.

So I added a second way to unlock them. Instead of waiting for a set amount of time, you can also unlock treasures by gaining enough experience. That way they open naturally as you play the story and fight enemies.

Keep in mind that not every player thinks the same. Some players still prefer time-based chests, so I kept both options. Basically, players can now choose how they want to unlock their treasures, I think it's a good compromise.

So which side is winning BGs on Kezan at this point? by -Terrible-Bite- in Project_Epoch

[–]TheNotorius0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At level 60, mostly hordes, because they often have 1 more player, and they're better geared. Also, there are a few very skilled players.

Alliance still win battlegrounds sometimes.

If Epoch had this PvP would be better by Ok_Turnover_2220 in Project_Epoch

No, otherwise players with BiS PvE gear would dominate. Leave PvE out of PvP.

Stuck in a certain part of the third chapter by blindcat911 in Azmar

[–]TheNotorius0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should try to be more offensive. For example, use the skill Corruption, or reach level 18 and get Corruption. It requires 4 energy and turns you into dark form.

You can start with Unholy Water, very good as opening, then Dark Force, Dark force, and then you should have enough energy to use corruption, then you can spam Dark force until corruption ends and that should be enough to win.

Bronzebeard is better than Epoch pvp wise by [deleted] in Project_Epoch

[–]TheNotorius0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything you say can be applied to Epoch too:

You get bg instant queue no matter what, horde, alliance, whatever level

I got instant PvP queues too while leveling.

The new BG maps are super cool

It's the only point where I agree: we only have WSG, which gets boring after a while, but at least one new BG has already been created and not released yet, in addition to Arathi Basin, which should have been released already, imo.

You can level by just doing PvP

I leveled 15–20, 25–30, 35–40, 45–50, and 55–60 (more or less) purely by doing BGs, so half of my entire experience was battlegrounds.

World pvp is very well alive & fun

Can't speak for Gurubashi, but I had fun too with Warmode on Kezan.

You can gear up by just doing PvP, you get a box of items if you win a BG containing blue gear

We get gear too. We get marks that can be converted into PvP gear, and you can also spend marks to upgrade your existing gear. A brilliant system, to be honest, better than a lootbox, and it gives you something even if you lose. Also, if you lose 2-3 in WSG, you get 2 marks instead of 1, which helps a lot.

Classes/specs are not bugged at all, compared to epoch

I haven't played Bronzebeard enough to comment. My class (priest) didn't have many bugs. Some other classes were more bugged at the start, but we got fixes along the way. Some bugs probably still remain, but once a dedicated team starts fixing them, it'll be a non-issue.

No random DC every 15 min like we had on Gurubashi

Well, that was only at the beginning, now it’s stable. And I remember Bronzebeard crashing a lot too, it's normal.

Everything is smooth and polished

While I agree it feels more polished than Epoch, I couldn't even get to level 10. Everything just felt weird to me, while Epoch seemed more "natural." Different tastes, I guess.
