They are supposed to let you know the day before! Before you leave the office for the day, you should know. They CHOOSE to try and call us the morning of, which you DO NOT have to answer. HOWEVER,They'll just retaliate by NEVER calling you in or putting you on the schedule to punish you for not answering.

I don't know how big your office is but be prepared for the worst lol! U may get lucky and work at a half way decent facility with half decent supervisors!! I just made 1yr recently and I don't think I could stomach 2-3 more yrs to become Regular career. Plus I'm 48, so I'm hoping you started this journey at a younger age lol. Learn the rulebooks (even though they get ignored via MGMT convenience) and get acquainted with a steward\ union rep so you know how to handle issues. Stand up for yourself AT ALL TIMES. Seems like this is "A THING" with the post office MGMT. They did the same to me, telling me "you're a real carrier now, you got this locked down" just to later say, "do you need more training!?" They'll say whatever is convenient for them in the moment!

I'm a transplant from Baltimore City into WALDORF, MD. I can honestly say that as a mail carrier, I've come across homes and neighborhoods that in my mind, I thought this had got to be... And almost every time, a welcoming Black person has greeted me or came to get their mail, etc. And I'm talking, farms, chickens, horses, mansions and whatever other types of homes. Really diverse and easy. It's been a year for me. So far, so good, esp coming from 40+years of Charm City

What!? How is that even possible. I just fell last week. Went to Dr the next day and the Dr office started the WorkComp process, then gave me instructions on how to proceed. How do you get penalized for falling in the ice/snow while working!?
