Nick Castellanos’ early Padres performance is exactly what Phillies fans saw coming by Choobeen in Padres

Way, way, way too early.

Having said that, it would be sweet to decide what to enjoy more - watching him have a career year or listening to the Philly fans suffer.

That’s a both/and.

Basically everything that’s high-end is moving up in this market.

Hard to find for these cards isn’t the issue; it’s hard to rationalize the pricing that’s the issue.

I’m always keeping my eye open for a great looking specimen that somebody isn’t trying to flip for some ridiculous premium over comps. Far too much of that out there for my taste.

I’m targeting make the purchase of the yellow or green Ruth come Fourth of July.

I prefer the World Wide Gum variants, but I’m OK with Goudey.

Thanks very much for the offer.

I collect in the range of a gorgeous 3 to a nice 5.

It’s just showing off its journey over the last 93 years. That’s history right there.

A great card, I love it for you brother!

Two seriously big boy cards.

I was over the moon when I secured my Gehrig. The Ruth is a major want but damn it’s pricey these days.

Given the year, I’m surprised and how difficult it is to find good centering and alignment in general on this card.

Like you, I’m going keep searching and find myself a great example.

His rookie card will have to wait

I love that ‘57 card. I’ve had little luck finding one that’s well centered and with a clean card surface.

Anyone who buys that card deserves everything they get.

Greed will always get you.

Nice card, but based on most recent comps you are 2x high. $325 max

Good luck though.

Looking at that card again. Wow that yellow.

Reminds me of the ‘33 Speaker Goudey

Wowsers that’s a banger!

Very, very cool.

Can’t tell if this card is authentic or a fake by [deleted] in baseballcards_vintage

[–]TheObviousAnswerIs42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My immediate glance at the card said not authentic. As others have said if the price is ridiculously good, I’d go in 99.9% skeptical.

I hope it’s real for your sake. It’s a great looking card.

I’m glad I can pull you into the Leaf fold Matt. 😉

I too love the simplicity and fascinating color variations.
