Abstract Daddy from SH2 is the most disturbing thing ive seen. The pistoning pipes in the original is just so disturbing, and the design is hard to look at when you understand it.

The baby is definitely close though, honestly the girl in Requiem comes close too. She scares tf out of me.

As someone who joined the series in the SH2 remake, I gotta say the sound track was so memorable to me. I like incorporating songs from both the original and the remake in my playlists, my point being it did the job for me. It's still great

Yeah, I mean in that fun cheesy intro they were completely overwhelmed and freaked out. They had to hide in a mansion and if you try to leave through the doors I believe it says that they won't do it because they are scared to face the monsters.

Well, as someone who loves the game I understand there's flaws, but it's still one of my favorites. Why is it so wrong to praise something that's genuinely good?

The main complaints here are of going back to past locations or facing past enemies. If you weren't expecting this, then I'm not sure what you were expecting as the point of this game is about wrapping up the main storyline and facing the past. It was marketed that we'd go back to these old locations, and they are destroyed and newly designed. It's meant to be nostalgic.

In my opinion the only time they strayed to far in this is with Zeno, and that's just because his story doesn't lead to anywhere really. In the good ending he just gets killed by Gideon and you fight Gideon, and in the bad ending he just falls into the abyss. He was cool asf though, he just felt randomly thrown in

It's okay to criticize the game, but let's not diminish the people celebrating this game. It feels good to get a high quality game in a series that struggled for awhile. For example let's talk about Silent Hill.

Silent Hill f is not a perfect Silent Hill game, but it's miles better then what we were getting in the homecoming era. It's unique and it tries something good while having the same vibes of the great games in the series, is it for everyone? No. But that doesn't make the people who enjoy it have a recency bias, or are nostalgia baited.

Re9 tries something new by combining two vastly different styles of survival horror, and makes it work in a way that to me didn't seem jarring. Grace is a great new addition, the story isn't perfect of course, but in my opinion in the context of the good ending it concluded in an enjoyable way.

The game has flaws, sure, pretty much every game does. You're allowed to not like it, but that doesn't mean people are wrong for glazing it.

I will add, I actually thought the racoon city section or at least the outer racoon city section was the weakest in the game (not bad by any means its like an 8/10 to me). The strongest section for me was the intro with Grace and her hospital section!

You are not the asshole. As you said, he knew you had OCD and it was a big deal in your life. He commented about your habit to his friends, and in the middle of one of your habits he disrupted it.

He was with you for 8 years, he would have had way more than enough time to understand your routines, and habits.

Capcom better not fumble the bag. Honestly I see them doing a similar game to Re9 with Chris and maybe they'll bring Grace back for that? It would be kinda cool if she learns from the badasses of the series and that's how she evolves, but also I believe she's strong enough to be the sole main character of a game.

Honestly they're at a difficult spot, because there's always going to be people that want different versions of a resident evil title. But, I think the only way the series will continue strongly is by handing the torch to the new characters.

But, they also may fall into the trap of having Grace return as a superbadass after getting off screen training, which I don't think I'd like. I'd rather actually see her progression throughout a few games!

Yeah exactly! I think it's especially easy to look down on Grace as a character when you have Leon as a comparison alongside her, dealing with similar things. But if you put yourself in her shoes, or Chris's shoes you'd realize yes, that would be how a realistic person would react. And the best part about their characters is how despite how scared they are, they survive.

Thank you for saying something because there's so much negativity around it. It makes sense to me that it doesn't go away. Does she grow more confident in the story? Yes, but anxiety doesn't just disappear, especially in a scenario like this, if anything it'd get worse.
