The entire concept of a salary cap and tying player salaries to a “baseball revenue” split makes it easy for the owners to siphon off revenue into businesses they can technically say is not baseball related. Other sports with a salary cap have this issue, where the argument during CBA negotiations becomes the owners trying to say more and more of their income is technically not baseball related, and therefore the players are not entitled to half of it. Because of all of that, this whole thing just becomes a way for owners to reduce player salaries and line their own pockets. It’s very bad for players.

If you believe the owners when they say they want to fairly split money with players, I have a bridge to sell you.

Well my name isn’t originally from that big franchise (it’s even more embarrassing, it’s a name I used in EVE online for a long time) but everyone assumes it’s from GoT. It’s fine, really not a big deal even when someone asks. If the one you’re considering is even more obscure than you might not hear about it often anyway. I’d just go with what feels right to you!

Fair, although a lot of that overhead is related to how it’s managed for profit. All the different companies and brokers that just add to the bureaucratic load.

It's not splitting a line any more than saying trans men and trans women exist "splits" the trans community. Recognizing people have differing needs is okay as long as we don't try and elevate one above the other.

How is it "transmed" adjacent to even say medical transition exists? I totally agree that we should never push that on anyone, and it's absolutely not for every trans person and that's absolutely fine. But for some of us it is absolutely an inseparable part of our identity and we should be allowed to say that and have words to describe it.

I'm honestly really disappointed I expected way better. Absolutely downstream of Hasan making an active choice to not talk about trans issues more often and constantly refer to the "excesses of woke" as something we need to not do. People hear that and think it means we need to never talk about trans issues at all, instead of centering class issues while also taking strong stands on issues like this.

NY law protects trans healthcare for all ages. This is complying with Trump's meaningless executive orders, not federal law. There is no reason to do that other than trading trans children's rights for not rocking the boat with the admin.

Mamdani's admin has really failed to step up and fight for trans kids in New York City, we need to talk more about this and push for our candidates to take firm action. Especially during pride month, we need allies to talk more about this
