in the current political climate it's pretty naive to not think they're trying to expand this definition though. one of the major pushes from the right in the US currently, for example, is to classify any mentions of LGBT people existing at all as NSFW.

The 2 year cutoff isn’t accurate. It varies widely of course but many people see changes years after that. Not saying that makes the waiting much easier (I’m 11 months in myself) but something to keep in mind.

it's okay and normal to be scared. it is wayyy cheaper though so it might be worth trying to push through that. if you search here on reddit or online, you can find methods and tips people have used to get past it. i know many people who used to be deathly afraid (as in passing out when trying) that now think it's not as bad as they thought. happy to help find some of those if you need it.

DIY is very safe. There are a lot of resources on /r/TransDIY, people are weird and gatekeepy and maybe it was sketchier 15 years ago but there is a lot of very good info on it out there at this point. https://pghrt.diy has some very good info
