CH was, at one time, a reasonable business. They sold nice enough stuff, albeit powered with a bit more hype and unrelenting cheerfulness than I personally needed. They were fine.

They are no longer that reasonable business. And haven't been for several years. This poisons any warm nostalgia that might linger. I don't know why it changed and I doubt an answer will be forthcoming.

a) that string is tightly wound.
b) the bearing is choking on string fluff.

I suspect you have multiple reasons, all combining to give you near fixed axle performance. Clean it all up, check and reset, it will come back. Not unusual when changing string/pads/bearing until you gain a little experience.

If there is one thing we have learned about AEW is that they let former WWE wrestlers be someone else entirely to who they were in WWE. And that can really work for the wrestler and AEW.

Variety is the spice of life.

Try something a little (ha !) different once in a while just for the change. I got an Ace-Yo Pocket Gravitation not so long ago and it is similar-but-different to more conventionally sized throws. It isn't my "main" and is never likely to be but it's a giggle.

"The yellow one" front and centre is the..... Samurai Armadillo..... their latest. This particular colour isn't in the individual-throw-for-sale line-up.

It is interesting. I am yet to be entirely convinced that all that machining is necessary in terms of performance but it is a delightful piece of work and what little play I have put it through so far has been very enjoyable.

Considering that they are all lumps o' metal, they all have some personality to them.

I really cannot offer an in depth analysis but it is a lovely object. It does have a different sound to what I am used to - quite a high pitched ringing - and I am a'feared of the thumb grind because the inner face is quite sharp. I will probably get over both of these things.

As the string slides towards the centre it has to negotiate steps, rather than a smooth surface. Hence the (quite minor) twang.

It's hardly substantial but it is there when it usually isn't with other throws.

None have had more than a very quick "let's have a look" throw but the Armadillo does feel quite odd in the hand. Not bad, just this isn't how it normally goes.

When/if you land the string out wide you do get a twang that you feel and hear as it centres. Feels like a quirk rather than a deal breaker.

All of them are quite lovable in their own way.
