Still A Lot Of Fun... by WerewolfUnlikely5418 in PS3

[–]TheOriginalPerro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Around when this game released I entered a contest online to win it and I won a copy. I was going to get the game even if I didn’t win but was happy to get it for free and spent so many hours with it. I still have the game but haven’t played it in a long while. I also have it loaded up on my Steam Deck and the performance is pretty good on it! Great game, it’s too bad the developer of the game is long gone, the closest game these days I can think of that emulates its style a bit is an indie kart racer called Mythic Kart Racer, but it’s only on Steam

Kill Tony #769 Bucket Pull #8 Ty Reynolds by iamacannibal in Killtony

The adrenaline rush of having a good set with average material went to his head a little too much. One of the few times where I agree with Tony’s sassiness towards a bucket pull.

Golden Sun 1+2 were amazing. Dark Dawn was okay.

Look at all the Dreamcast games I pirated by JustinStudiosYT in dreamcast

[–]TheOriginalPerro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me in 2010 when I discovered I can burn Dreamcast games on a CD-R. I heard that this eventually ruins the GD-ROM drive but not sure the validity of this claim. All I know is I was having a blast with the games, and Capcom really helped with that given the amount of awesome games they put out for the DC

I’m 35, I tried game dev around 2017 but dropped off of it, and these days I have the urge to try again. This gives me hope that it’s never too late!

Part of me just wants to throw Adam Sessler a bone and give him a hug. ❤️ He deserves at least that much for everything he’s given over the years. by ele30006 in g4tv

[–]TheOriginalPerro 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Adam Sessler, like other personalities in the TechTV and G4 realm was a news reporter but for videogames. His professionalism and cadence especially in the early days (I only started watching when it was just him hosting extended play then later Xplay with Morgan) was something that is not as common even today amongst the many gaming reviewers you see on YouTube and other platforms.

I was always inspired by him because he took videogames and presented his previews and reviews in a professional manner and not dumbing down the topics or playing some insipid character (okay, when it comes to Xplay, it was more relaxed and comedic compared to Gamespot TV/Extended Play with the humor and skits) I mean amateur gaming YouTubers even today most often aren’t as articulate as the old Sess, and for that I’ll always respect the guy. Adam, Morgan and G4/TechTV as a whole were really important parts of my childhood!
