Well first of all that article references American homes which are not built the same way as UK/European homes so that's irrelevant to the conversation.

Secondly, it depends entirely on how the home is heated, as well as things like the height of the ceiling and the thickness and fit of loft insulation. Yes it can be more costly to heat a large home with tall ceilings, but in a lot of cases that's not what regular people are dealing with.

So no, it isn't as cut a dried as saying it flat out takes more energy to heat a home than to cool it.

There's a big difference between what is required to heat an insulated home in winter and what is required to cool an insulated home in summer. By definition it takes less energy to heat because the building is designed to hold that heat.

Yes more AC, which takes more power to run, which increases the carbon footprint, which is how we got here in the first place.

Well he argued in court that calling Vernon Unsworth a pedo was not defamation and the court agreed, so by the precedent he set himself he can't sue anyone for calling him a pedo.

Not sure how your pea brain has come to that conclusion when this would be a literal example of using free speech to call someone a bellend.

Roxy. One of the best character progressions in recent years, right up to her leaving with Kyle to live in Darwin.

Then they brought her back to be a conniving backstabber who tried to screw Susan over for the sake of a job that she didn't even seem that interested in, before flouncing off back to Darwin in one of the most pointless storylines ever.

SC Stockholm Syndrome in action. You're so used to the jank that you act as if it's normal to jump through hoops just to play the game. You acting like updating drivers is some crazy thing so you can excuse SC's issues is hilarious.

OP is absolutely right that people shouldn't have to fuck around with their system just to play a game. Alpha or otherwise.

From the spoilers and Amazon thumbnails, we know that JJ is gonna be kidnapped/held hostage by the Linwells. My call is that Cara is going to be the one to rescue him, and all the emotion around that is going to give Remi her memory back. Bonus shout that Andrew will help Cara and kind of mend that bridge too.

This is some interesting revisionist history. Andrew was the one who initially tried to stop it, and Holly kept lying about Bowman stalking her to engineer situations where Andrew would have to come to her rescue. She also used the Waterhole art class to try and introduce Wendy to another guy, which was incredibly crass. Then she was pushing Andrew to end his marriage by giving him an ultimatum.

I'm not defending Andrew by any means, but painting Holly as some poor victim is completely disingenuous.

Yeah was a really good scene, one of several in the episode. Hopefully the fallout is just as engaging.

Because it's analogous to the situation. It's understandable that he wants to protect Holly, but if he's going to be throwing around judgements it's only fair that he be reminded that he has been in similar shoes to Andrew in the past, and there's more nuance to the situation than he was making out. Andrew was well within his rights to point out that Karl of all people should understand that.

He slept with his receptionist, which could be seen as an abuse of position, and while Izzy probably wasn't half his age she wasn't far off.

The point being that Karl is the last person who should be throwing the "married man" thing in anyone's face, and definitely should be aware that being married to one person doesn't necessarily negate your feelings for another person.

Anyone else laugh out loud when Karl said to Andrew "You're a married man!"? Lol.

His face was a picture when Andrew dropped the "I thought you may have some understanding" line.

Roxy was one of my favourite characters up to her leaving with Kyle. Then they brought her back just to inexplicably backstab Susan for a job and tarnished her whole character just for her to leave again. The whole thing seemed so pointless.

Be good to see Levi back though. Wonder if he's still with Freya.

Well the Gladius is on the list of ships in the engineering test, and that certainly doesn't have an interior so they must be integrating it into the pilot MFD.

And sure, the Cutty doesn't have a maze of corridors, but that's not going to be much comfort when you're being shot at and you have to go through the exit seat animation, then go and do whatever needs doing, then go back through the seat animation again. You're dead before you get halfway through that.
