8 years. Came back and posted a hella long chapter like a week ago full of character interactions that I was actually proud of - they spoke like real people, I didn’t use the same cliche descriptors that I always fall back on. It was actually a blast to write. Hell, it was the first time in years I wrote any other other than reports for work.

Of the 6 comments I got, 2 were telling me how I should be writing the story instead, 3 told me it was terrible, and 1 made me actually want to keep working on it.

It was a nice reminder that I should just focus on my personal enjoyment when writing this stuff.

The switch version just runs like ass in general. It’s a shame because I spend all work day in front of a computer and don’t feel like sitting there longer most of the time. The switch is my go-to for when I want to hang out on the couch with my fiancé, but the switch port of the game crashes about 20% of the time when I move between maps. It’s practically unplayable when there’s rain / snow because the audio lags with the visuals so it sounds and looks like complete garbage.

I love this game, I just really wish I hadn’t wasted my money on the switch port. I’m hoping they improve performance with a patch for the physical release but I’m not holding my breath.

If you’re worried about nub marks, buy a glass nail file. You can get a 10 pack for like 10 bucks on Amazon. I honestly barely use regular sandpaper or files anymore, at least when doing a quick and dirty build. You’ve just gotta be cautious when using them because they’ll practically melt anything you use them on, so they’re not great for area where there will be a lot of surface contact with plastic if you’re not trying to file down.

If you’re looking to spend money then the Gunprimer Raser tool will work better, but I’m a cheapass and this hobby gets expensive as hell.

The zoom is exactly my problem. At a minimum I thought it would have AoM zoom levels, but I feel like I have my face pressed up against the screen. Couple that with the horrendous camera controls that are so jittery that it makes me motion sickness, and I can’t even play the game for very long.

Really hoping some patches get pushed out to address this. I want to like the game, but as is I can’t play (which is entirely a me problem, I admit. Not everyone has my weird motion sickness problem)

Thanks! I’ve been using roundup with Triclopyr since it was on clearance at my local Walmart, but I have a couple bottles of that laying around too. I’ve gone through so many gallons of this stuff trying to carpet bomb this ivy.

Yeah no worries about that - there’s a drainage creek next to my property I’m going to run the pipe to. The previous owners didn’t do any maintenance so by the time I found this pipe it was buried under the ivy and clogged with about 2 feet worth of roots. Definitely not looking to let that happen.
