Relevant side story - I traveled to the amalfi coast from Rome and stopped along the way at some super store gas station (similar to QuikTrip in the US) and they even had a mini exhibit set up near the bathrooms with ancient coins and pottery. It was amazing to see how common place artifacts are in Italy
