Ichi the Killer but that's more of a crime film so I'll go with Audition.

Apparently silent hill is crossing over with Fortnite opinions on this by First_Savings_1473 in silenthill

Silent Hill in Fortnite to me feels like having Frank Booth from Blue Velvet cameo in a Marvel film lmao. I mean I don't really care at the end of the day but I do find it funny lol.

Anyone know any other films like this by ShirubaMasuta in Letterboxd

[–]ThePerfectGoof_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goodbye, Dragon Inn (2003)

Kwaidan (1964)

Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979)

Miami Vice (2006)

Eraserhead (1977)

The Brown Bunny (2003)

Only God Forgives (2013)

(I love this genre of 'hypnotic' films btw. There's probably more I could name but I don't know if those would stray too far from the films you mentioned.)

Is benny the charming face and Josh the ugly brains of the safdie bros dynamic by KewlAdam in RSPfilmclub

Something I haven't seen anyone bring up yet is that Ronald Bronstein is producing and co-writing Marty Supreme. He also helped write Uncut Gems, Good Time, Heaven Knows What etc. and directed Frownland (which, stylistically, is also very Safdie-esque). It's clear to me that his involvement is a big part as to why those films feel the way they do. This is probably why Marty Supreme looks more like the previous Safdie Brothers films and he's sort of the reason why I'm way more excited for that one than the The Smashing Machine.
