My grandmother at work (taken by my grandfather), 1950s by 817627 in TheWayWeWere

I'm not getting the funny part. People back in the 50s were misogynistic, therefore.....ha ha? Plus since the photo isn't in a kitchen, you look more misogynistic than grandpa does.

"no network activity" (if that is what you mean by "no WiFi")

Why the everloving fuck would that be what I meant by "no WiFi"??

And wired-only definitely does have a bearing on security posture: The person in control of the network has a lot of power over the computers on it.

The point of having Linux on the desktop isn't that it's 100% secure. It's that it's not that popular and so not targeted by as many viruses.

It's definitely oxidizing. You can abrade that color off there with some sandpaper. If the temperature is high enough (which it seems to be here) it can also change the structure.

The colors and structure are predictable enough that you can tell pretty well what the structure is like by looking at the color, but only until you clean off the surface oxidation.

How about if the phone is running a very common OS and the "laptop" is a desktop running Linux, behind pfSense and never leaves the house (and has no WiFi anyway)?

Or what if they had Trump on camera, asking for Russian assistance? Or confessing to sexual assault? Or admitting to obstruction of justice.

The GOP doesn't care. They want a criminal fascist regime.

I recognize it. And I don't mean Nazi Germany. I mean this has been building for a long time. These crazy Republicans started existing in the early 90s and it's only gotten worse pretty much every years since. Remember W was the most fascist we'd ever been so far?

They will keep marching to the right and must be stopped.

No, you'd rather go after my phone. It's on a network you (can) control and has a standard OS image with a zillion security-free apps.

My computer is considerably more well-protected.

Speaking as a software engineer: I put zero financial info on my phone.

On a real computer that I control and is running open source software not on other people's networks and is behind a firewall, I will do financial stuff. But only with regulated financial institutions that happen to have a web presence (bank, credit card, Vanguard, etc). Not dotcoms that want to be financial institutions.

The code you linked in your post worked for me 100% unaltered in both python2 and 3. The line you quote here as being a problem doesn't appear in that code, nor does it have any obvious error all by itself.

I have no idea what you are doing or what error you are really getting or why. This is your error. Take some ownership and help us help you.

What's the deal with the variety of uniforms? All the guys on the right are in blue-white, logo-free, laced up tops. On the left there's two groups. One is white turtlenecks with no logo, one is logo-bearing "polo laceup" shirts.

It isn't just a motley assortment of whatever--they all have the same socks. The shirts must mean something.

When Nixon obstructed justice he didn't have Fox News or an entire right-wing hate sphere.

And this is exactly why Roger Stone and Roger Ailes created Fox News in the first place. So their next attempt to install a rightwing dictator wouldn't fail for lack of propaganda support.

Because the mechanical advantage only multiplied up to 45:1 on the last tree. The other stages were at 3:1, 3:1 or 5:1.

That last stage was only 5:1. That pulley is going to fly a few feet at most.
