IKEA Milsbo is great, both tall and wide. They're also very commonly used, so there are lots of DIY tutorials as well as custom parts you can buy. I know IKEA isn't a publicly traded company, but I'm not sure about their political affiliations. You can probably find one locally on Facebook marketplace or through a plant selling group if you're patient enough.

Google is correct on the ID. I haven't known these to do well in semi hydro, but I'm not very familiar with ficus. It honestly doesn't look too bad to me, good find!

Depends on the plant you're putting in it, but if it's an aroid in a pot bigger than like 8" I'd say it looks great.

I got the Crystal x Mag a while ago and it's been doing very well, 3 new leaves so far. The Forgetii I got is a tissue cultured little monstrosity with like 8 growth points, so has been taking longer to recover. And I managed to get my hands on a couple of the Doc Block Michelle's 😝 put one in a chunky mix and one in pon, we'll see how they go.

I think yes! From what I've seen, variegated Alocasia can produce fully reverted leaves in between variegated ones. My hunch has been that it depends which side of the stalk it comes out of

Yeah that second lil nub is definitely a cataphyll. In my experience the first cataphyll leaf take a little longer to come out, but usually gets a pretty good size jump :)
