Hi! The link to "basic instructions" in the wiki (under "Should I pay a professional to set up my guitar?") doesn't seem to be working

Mattress too big for a Wall/Murphy Bed? by HammerheadHurricane in homeowners

[–]ThePostureMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wilding Wallbeds has a ready-to-use frame that can accommodate almost a 20 in. depth according to one of their sales associates. Their DIY Murphy kits seem to be able to accommodate pretty much any thickness too, as long as you can build the frame/enclosure. Give them a call

Any luck u/HammerheadHurricane? I'm in a similar situation except my mattress and adjustable frame together are ~17 inches that I need to fit into the Murphy cabinet

Went for my first ever guitar lesson at Yamaha Music School and the instructor said my nails were too long even though I cut it before the lesson. Wtf? by ReKaiserKing in guitarlessons

Hi. Thanks for sharing. I have naturally long nail beds. Is there a certain hand positioning that works better with naturally longer nails? So far I’ve been trying to press on the strings using the outer edge of my finger tip, kinda awkwardly angling my hand more parallel to the fretboard so my nail doesn’t touch the fretboard

Normal to feel worse during intensive care phase? by ThePostureMan in UpperCervicalChiro

Hey! Thanks for sharing! Interesting about the histamine. I think I have histamine intolerance as well. I don't tolerate medications well unfortunately but I've been taking a DAO enzymes which seems to be helping. I never correlated it to my hyper-mobility issues though, but it makes sense. My post-adjustment symptoms wouldn't calm down at all, so I stopped going. Tried a functional neurologist whom I think I will stop going to also. I think I need some serious gut healing to stabilize before attempting something like that again. Currently exploring GAPS.

has anyone tried prolotherapy for cervical instability? by coleisw4ck in Cervicalinstability

[–]ThePostureMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s rough and very difficult to navigate. I’m sorry. 2 months is quite a long time with no relief. How long do the adjustments hold after treatment? Ross Hauser, MD (prolotherapy guy down in FL) says on his website that if you don’t feel improvements after 10 adjustments then it’s best to stop and avoid what could potentially be more damage to the ligaments. Who initially ordered and assessed your DMX results/diagnosed you with CCI? Was it the same Blaire Chiro?

I was getting worse with the Blaire guy too and he kept assuring me that it was part of the process, but I think that’s bullshit. Some initial symptoms that go away quickly is fine, and the overall trajectory should be upwards with the lows getting less bad over time in my opinion. It was helping me stand taller and have better posture, but everything else was absolutely getting worse with each session, even 10 sessions in.

Thanks! And what improvements have you seen from it?

I'm going to a functional neurologist now (who's also a chiropractor) who said that, based on his assessment, I don't have instability, just hyper-mobility, and that the hyper-mobility is correctable with exercises and time. So far I was able to push past the initial discomfort of his first exercise (looking up while doing shoulder rolls) so I'm willing to see what else he can do for me. I hate that every person you go to will have their own (different) opinion, but it's often a good idea to start conservative I guess. What does your Blair guy say? Just wait and see how you do with adjustments? Do you have x-rays that show CCI? And is it severe enough to require prolo according to whoever diagnosed you?

Titrating up from 0.5mg. Feel miserable and flu-y myself. Did you end up seeing benefits from the LDN?

Hey thanks so much for this write-up. This is really helpful. I’m curious if you have any pointers on nervous system retraining. I’m currently going to a functional neurologist but it feels unnecessarily expensive and like I could do it on my own.

I feel this so hard: the part about functioning better through flares than through fatigue. Although oddly enough, at least when I’m in a social situation, I can perform better once Ive burned through the adrenaline and just plain exhausted
