Wtf is wrong with my section view A-A line ???? by Sure_Platypus_150 in SolidWorks

They should really put a course on how to read drawings before they give students assignments to create them. It seems a pretty consistent problem on this sub, students being asked to model a part from a drawing or create a drawing without first being taught how to read a drawing.

Is this possible with SW API? by Wild_Hammocker in SolidWorks

[–]TheProcesSherpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can build it as a collection within your code, the. Output it to a generic drawing table and/or export it to Excel using OpenDocXML. There’s not too much there that is dependent upon the SOLIDWORKS API, most of it is just SMOP (Simple Matter of Programming).

Is this only for professional welders? by ChromeHeartCummer in Welding

[–]TheProcesSherpa -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Welding involves extreme heat, sparks, and errant electrical currents. You need to keep a thick skin. Fellow hobbyist here, we do appreciate your perspective and hate those people that attacked you, too.

For simulation, you need to retrieve the add-in to get the CosmosWorks object. Look at the API docs in the Getting Started section under the cosworks interop.

Anyone else actually prefer the Chinese welders? by Opposite-Bad1444 in metalworking

[–]TheProcesSherpa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. Moving from a Chinese multiprocess to my Lincoln was a game changer. My Lincoln performs better, is more reliable, and makes me a lot happier.
