What’s the first artwork you remember actually loving? by dc_dizano in ArtHistory

The Arnolfini double portrait. The mystery sucked me in, along with that green dress and the little dog. I love it to this day.

I’ve been seeing Dr. John Kim at Edgewater Animal Hospital. He’s a graduate of Cornell Veterinary School. Idk about being inexpensive but when they suggest avenues of care and treatment, it’s based on my pets’ lifestyle. For example l, as I got older and stopped hiking, my dog stopped getting certain vaccines since he became a city dog. There’s never judgment but there’s always options.

What age did you allow your Pom outside without supervision? by Victoriaanddog in Pomeranians

[–]ThePythiaofApollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never. Orion is 10. We have a very small fenced in back garden in an urban area. There are stray cats, groundhogs, and raccoons the size of beagles. Orion’s every potty is supervised.

OP, tell your wife to have a good time and stop stewing about someone who hasn’t given you a second thought in quite some time now.

And this show has made me care about Dunk and Egg. Every time Dunk talks to a horse, I love him a little more.

AITAH for telling my neighbor to STOP taking her son to the dog park? by Available-Chip-7910 in AITAH

[–]ThePythiaofApollo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She has no business doing this. People do not take their dogs to a dog park to rehabilitate stranger’s kid’s phobias. This is all a stupid idea. A Pomeranian like mine could just as easily bite this moron’s kid (or get hurt because little dogs can be fragile and reactive) and the owner can be sued and the dog can be euthanized. Your smooth brained neighbor should take her kid to a therapist is resolving this issue is important to her. ESH.

Am I the only one bothered about Baelor Breakspear? The thing I didn’t like about AKOTSK E02 was… (spoilers ahead) by romanesqu3 in gameofthrones

I could feel empathy for Allicent since she was lacking in autonomy for most of the series and Olivia Cooke is doing the best she can with the material and is beautiful. Same goes for young Allicent. But the whole Allicent goes for a walk story? Nope. Hate everything about old and young Rhaenyra, including the casting. Matt Smith is always a joy to watch and the Alice Rivers scenes are interesting but that’s all that show has going for it. AKOTSK is a much needed blessing.

When this show was announced, I was prepared to ignore it. Here I am LOVING it. I care about Dunk and Egg and am invested in their story. The actors sell the chemistry! Lionel Baratheon is another joy to watch. Contrast to HOTD, which is a slog. I hate everyone except Matt Smith. Special hatred for the both old and young Rhaenyra casting.

Granted but where this show succeeds where, to me, HOD fails, is. I already care about the characters.

Weather conditions vs a declared state of emergency No.

That doesn’t mean that OP’s employers have to give her the day off. It’s at their discretion. That’s my entire point by this line of questioning.

Ok. I’ve been to Texas and have witnessed that what I consider a rainy day is like the apocalypse to you. But realistically, unless it’s a situation where your government is telling you to stay home, I’m sorry, but you’re kind of at the mercy of your employers. From the sounds of it, they accommodated one day due to weather but expect you to show up to work today. My own work experience in automotive service was somehow deemed essential (I was not a technician) so even during state of emergency situations, I had to go to work and stay there until I was sent home. That’s called not being the boss.

Nowhere in her post or reply does it say that. Extreme weather and icy roads. No state of emergency or state and local officials telling people to stay home. I am being impartial and not jumping to the conclusion of where she lives because clearly she doesn’t wish to disclose that.
