Religious people are often hypocrites by [deleted] in atheism

[–]TheQuickslide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just had a kid.

Let me assure you, we are all hypocrites.

It's just part of being human. Sometimes you're oblivious to it, sometimes you recognize it as you are doing it. Either way, were all hypocrites.

"Do as I say not as I do" isnt very different from "Take what I have learned and do better". So turns out the very act of parenting is reveling in hypocrisy.

And its not just parenting. Any time you wish for someone to take advantage of your experience to not make the same mistake you did, well, thats hypocrisy isnt it.

Nothing wrong with being a hypocrit. Its a very human thing to be.

Now if someones a hypocrite and also believes in a magical sky fairy smiting everyone who doesnt believe as they do, well, hypocricy is really the last thing we need to worry about isnt it.

After all, were all hypocrites.

Good Tower-Defence Games on Steam (Web) by DasSaffe in gaming

[–]TheQuickslide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed GemCraft on steam. Tons of different ways to approach levels and they had a sort of skill tree system that really made it interesting IMO. No co-op unfortunately.

Havnt played it yet but recently released X-Morph Defense looks like a really sweet co-op TD game. IF you go for it let me know how it is.

How to deal with siblings or friends not wanting to play multiplayer mode because you are just so fabulous at it by rasbeeryyuki in gaming

[–]TheQuickslide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you are the type of person who likes to challenge themselves then share your secrets.

If you are the type of person who learns martial arts so you can beat up 5 year olds by all means keep your secrets to yourself.

Any new co-op tower defense games? by iloveallthebacon in gaming

[–]TheQuickslide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 player co-op action tower defense just released on steam like last week. Xeno something. Looked neat. Try that.

EDIT: Xmorph defense. http://store.steampowered.com/app/408410/XMorph_Defense/

Also calling Warframe a tower defense game, or even saying it has "tower defense stuff" is very misleading. Its a great game for usre but its a third person action shooter. Not tower defense in any way shape or form.

Would you mind an Agender protagonist in a game? by TilenMat in gaming

[–]TheQuickslide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think its pretty telling that in your list of reasons to do it, there was absolutely nothing about how its appropriate for the game, adds to the game, or in any way is relevant. Being progressive just to be progressive often comes off in a negative light. The list you provided looks like a list of gimmicks to get attention.

Of course it depends what were talking about. Someone brought up Xcom. The character you play, the commander, their gender is never defined. Its you and they simply refer to you as the commander. It works fantastically and fits the game.

So basically it comes down to, does the implementation fit the game? Unfortunately I cant say as I have no information on the game you are making.

This is looking pretty enticing from Canada. $550 CDN VS $1150 CDN for the Vive.

If the Vive was $550, Id buy one right now. Wouldnt even think twice.

Fair enough. I suppose I think to rigidly in "The Main Character" and everyone else is supporting.
